Hi everyone! Some of you already know me, but some don't, so I'll tell you a bit about myself.
I'm Alexandra, 32, and I have recently been diagnosed with a neurodegenerative condition. While I have been ill for over a decade, the past few years have been especially difficult.
I cannot work a full-time job anymore, nor work outside of my home, as I never know what will happen - I might need to lay down for a few hours in the middle of a work day, or have my arms not work for a short time randomly.
I used to work as a translator/copywriter part-time, remotely, for a marketing agency, and it was great, but AI pretty much stole the chance to be self-reliant from me now. People aren't looking for human writers anymore.
For years, though, my passion was crocheting, and creating dolls of my favourite characters. I have supported myself by selling the dolls and doing commissions for some time now.
While I have the full support from my partner, I want to be able to be independent and pay for the stuff like my MRIs (which I have to take every 4-5 months) and meds.
That being said, I wanted to now take commissions from people from Tumblr: your favourite characters, your loved ones, pets... I love creating dolls of people's OCs, too!
