Then let me ask: Why would they rebrand as SKYBOX, then SUDDENLY, OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE, REVEAL TWAU WITH THE BRAND “ TELLTALE GAMES “ ?????????????

I am 100% confused as to what’s going on right now, and would like some clarification as to what they’re doing.

How do you REBRAND THAT QUICK

So last year(?) Telltales owners fired all their employees (with zero severance if I recall), for reasons beyond my comprehension as a lowly entry level. It was sudden and swift and utterly devastating to many people. Losing your job is traumatic, and terrifying, and there aren’t unions to protect us from surprise firings and lack if severance pay and things that make this easier. One day its just gone.

Well, the industry mourned this, worked hard to find placement for ex-Telltale employees. I work with many of them, the filled job openings quicky because they ARE great people, and they were doing fantastic work on great games. Games that were in progress. Games they thought they’d never see finished. They mourned the time spent on these projects, and the fact the fans would never have closure, and they moved on.

Now, one of those games has revived. So the owners hired an all new team of people, to stay under the radar, and are now waving the IP these scorned people worked SO HARD ON to get money out of fans. This branding is EXCLUSIVELY a cash grab.

Let me tell you this, that will not be a Telltale game. I don’t know them, I don’t play them, but I know that if you turn over AN ENTIRE production team, top to bottom all roles, it doesn’t matter what they have to work with, it will be different. People affect the end product tremendously.

Furthermore, because layoffs were so recent, this game is either not coming out for nearly two years, or they crunched their NEW workers to make something to announce at GoTY. Games take a long time to make. Multiple years. Shorter production time only can mean less content, less quality, or heavy crunch. Even if they started the month after mass layoffs (which, uh, rude?) that isn’t a lot of time.

Every website uses a language called JavaScript; long story short it’s a website language that allows developers to do the crazy shit you see on websites. Now the easiest thing to do is to disable JavaScript to stop them from knowing you have an adblocker:

In my opinion you shouldn’t be, because frankly we wouldn’t have stayed if we didn’t have such a hardworking, kind and decent man to rally behind, who clearly loves what he does and loves sharing it with us and interacting with us. You don’t put yourself on a pedestal, you are not above criticism and no community is without it’s bad sides, especially not one of such gargantuan proportions!
