This comic is, as is usual for Wednesday’s comics, chosen by my Patrons. Speaking of…

"What happened to you?" Asked with a forced tone of indifference. Normally she required touch, but being this small near someone so large was enough for her to pick up on Nebula's emotional state through the air alone, waves of worried anxiety blasting her from the immense blue cyborg before her. It was touching how much she cared for her.

"I don't know!" Chimed Mantis upwards with a shrug and laugh. "I simply awoke like this. It's kind of fun seeing the world from this perspective, actually."

"Whoever did this to you, I will rip out their spine. I will show them their own heart before making them eat it-"

"Maybe tone it down, just a bit." Winced Mantis, Nebula's anger a white-hot physical assault upon the senses, like standing directly in front of a starship's roaring thruster.

"Apologies." Neb frowned slightly more than usual. Mantis found it cute how much she pouted when she wasn't bloodthirsty. "May I... pick you up? If you would allow it?"

"Of course!" her own excitement couldn't be withheld.

A hand that slaughtered countless, held many a weapon that had ended lives both deserving and not, shakily reached for her, wanting to be as gentle as possible. She wrapped it around Mantis' toylike figure, cradling her.
