I do not think Toriel's house has the same emotions inside it. Toriel very specifically does not spend a lot of time in the house, she goes to church/choir, gardens, grocery shops. She lives so much of her life out of that house. This feels very deliberate. All this combined with Asgore implying that Toriel could be struggling with the mortgage? I do not think Toriel likes her home, not anymore. Combine this with Kris, this home that once housed their entire happy family is now so empty. No brother no dad, just reminders of what once was and a mom who is trying her best, but it is clearly not enough. From the lightner pov there is simply not much to cling on to anymore to found a dark world.

When you talk to Shuttah here after the escape sequence, it talks about a great wilderness in a before time. This could refer to a number of things: asgore used to have a lot of plants around the house, there was so much joy and emotion in the house that was a clusterfuck, any number of interpretations! But as the emotions faded to a depressive nothing so did the Dark World. There was one object though that the darkners could rally around in hopes of keeping a theme and not reducing to nothing: the family TV. All of those TV Times over the years add up! Toriel hadnt yet thrown out Tenna, and Noelle in chapter 5 shows a fondness for the ol box. There is literally nothing else in that house that could be the theme. Nothing else was as loved. Tenna was the one support pillar of this dark world, without him there would be but dust and dice! This is not me saying Tenna was secretly doing some awesome thing and hes so selfless!! no this is a case of like the multi layered meta symbolism-character traits feedback loop etc. The living room is all about Tenna, so he has a huge fragile ego about it!! This is also why when that ego gets challenged by the FUCK gang things fall apart and start turning to nothing. Everything directly TV themed turns to stone, theme is crumbling to nothing all around Tenna. In the face of direct rejection of his importance, things can no longer be TV themed. He is no longer in the TV Room, its the living room. Back on topic though, this is why TV World is so small, it can only encompass sooo much. The dead flowers on the windowsill, the things in the room, maybe a few things from the kitchen. Tenna's infused love and dreams can only spread sooooo far. A side note, so the cactus tsundere was in the dark world, but always behind a curtain. This was of course cause she's prickly about her emotions, but also because:

Shes only SOO Close to the living room. I think she had some emotion-love-hopes-dreams help from how strongly kris feels about this cactus. Not enough to be physically present, but enough to reach downstairs and give Kris a cool sword. I think this is also why the purple dragon was not present. She was just outside of the range. This is also why we do not see anything from Kris or Toriel's room, or even the bathroom! Doors closed lol
