You know I very rarely go back and look towards my early year arts
my first ever pearl of my own creation. "Defective Pearl" was her only title Yeah it was before we had ever seen any other pearls at that point and only worked off the crystal gem pearl that we knew. Exaggerated colors that don't fit for a 'subdued' pearl. Her original story being she would do anything to go against the mold of what it meant to be a traditional pearl, colors, personality, and interests included
It's almost fitting that the latest pearl [a pearl adopt] is also a colorful mess almost a similar core colors. it is nice to see the growth stark against one another, the growth in line weight. the growth in anatomy, colors, and most important to me, design.
originally I never even liked drawing pearls, they were "too skinny" [since i'd always draw more curvy women] for me to comfortably draw. Now seeing what was my attempt at 'skinny' vs the genuine pearl skinny that I can draw now after years of over a hundred pearls under my belt being made it's a bit ironic.
