Condescending to others

To how fluttershys hair can create a heart, Hail Storms create lightening bolts.

An egotistical Pegasus who keeps to the clouds. Often regularly dismissing others, shes a speedy flier, shes often successful in whatever she attempts, shes smart enough but not self aware to recognize her own short comings. She believes there's almost nothing she can't do. While knowing there are some things she cannot do but not that she'll admit it to an audience. Regularly verbally berates others both conciously and unconcious. She's blunt, shes bold, and fast. Everything one needs- in her opinion- to be to get anywhere in this world.

Hail Storm has a fixation on keeping Celestine Shine around.

Some unhealthy feelings of clinginess and thinking Celestine Shine is one to boss around and utilize. She wants Celestine Shine to stay by her and listen to her. She doesn't like when Celestine Shine is alone with other ponies. To her own idea Hail Storm believes all she wants from Celestine Shine is a yes mare, a pony at her beck and call that will do what she asks.

Unconcious of the deeper attachment she holds for Celestine

She finds Fair Weather annoyingly flighty. Knowing she can't trust her with anything important. Often times ironically vocally comparing Fair Weather to Celestine Shine over what Fair Weathers short comings are to her face- stating Celestine Shine would be there for her instead.

Often one sided beef as Fair Weather rolls her eyes- forever unchanging in her own ways the same

Hail Storm thinks Alexandrite is just... 'alright'. Clean for an earth pony- or is it shes special for being a crystal pony? How much of that is a seperate classification? Hail Storm doesn't know yet unwillful to ask clarification. Hail Storm thinks the gem statues and crafts Alexandrite makes can be tacky but to quote "They're just so ... you, Alexandrite."

Trivia: the original definition of condescend even derived from the wealthy elite 'kindly' lowering themselves to socialize with lower classes. It wasn't originally a negative term but over time and etymology has shifted due to culture values changing

Fun Fact:  Her name is a double meaning, for the fact shes modeled after a storm with lightening bolt side strands but for the call to Hail, not just the icey rocks falling from the sky but a call of grandeour, Hail, Storm.

She was an undebuted character in the show with seemingly no puppet found- only green heart glasses found with one side cracked but assumed a potential reused accessory of similarity. With only one appearance in a childrens picture book. Scheduled for more appearances but was quietly retired and unmentioned due to responses about her and her behavior.

Despite the name Cupid and whole littered with heart motifs, she declares she has nothing to do with love and in fact hates seeing it in particular to the residents of Welcome Home. She's cold, stand-offish, and incites fights- mostly due to her own bad temper.

As if forgetting shes a cupid at all that one is supposed to foster relationships with warmth and consideration and love.

A hassle for Eddie Dear as she would break into mailboxes and rip up any letters with hearts on them that she deemed love letters. Seen leaning against bent up big blue mailboxes in town after kicking at it with her platform heels and a bat she brought.

Both a teaching moment in the picture book showing her in jail the next page as well as to explain to children you don't tamper with anyones mail as its a federal crime AND rude to do.

Would lean against the battered mailboxes too just to see Eddie Dear's reaction to the ruined box and scattered and torn letters.

In the picture books for kids she was deemed as a bad example in spite of her being made to show through the characters of the town how to handle difficult people.

Mentioned as a revolutionary idea that love isn't all softness and rainbows by feminist groups yet by many childrens parents was claimed she was in poor taste and that love figure should not be shown in such poor light for impressionable kids.

Claimed to be made to separate her from many other cupid figures and with an express interest to let the character grow in books but ultimately discontinued due to initial reception.

Written plans found that she was a cupid who got into an accident and thus was having a reactionary behavior that the author wanted the Welcome Home residents to help her overcome her accident and for her to heal. The initial planning progression claims she would be a minor antagonist in multiple childrens books to show bad behavior and how to react when someone behaves like her and show that she also can grow and learn lessons just as anyone else can. From a minor antagonist to slowly a resident who turns to friendship.

To model behavior even bad kids can see and adjust showing that people do not like how you behave no matter the justification

However what the cause of her accident was seems to be missing from a few earlier pages too badly damaged to read _________________

clearly hinting at the accident also being part of whats weird about welocme home going on behind the scenes and what not

she was a cupid that got into an accident with head trauma

Minto Age: 24 On the shorter side of inklings Weapon main: Squiffer and other snipers but he is willing to use others Often changes his outfits but always keeps his helmet, the only 'unqiue' feature of his is how he dyes his finger tips to his ink color in a way to mimic octolings but also how bones the model does the same

Minto has a complex relationship with himself. 

He detests looking too long at himself in the mirror. 

He hates being perceived by others.

He cannot find satisfaction in how he looks- knowing objectively he is not the ugliest thing on earth yet cannot be satisfied in how he looks either. 

What he wants out of his looks is something he knows he cannot achieve. He wants to be taller, he wants broader shoulders, he wants to be cooler, he wants unshakable confidence. So many things he wants to change that he thinks itd be better if he could be literally a completely different person with the dream ideals. 

He day dreams sometimes of being something else. If he were another species, this one or that one, something more to his tastes of what looks 'good' of what he thinks he wants. 

Sometimes feeling he isn't real, but he is real, he's right here, breathing, hearing, and seeing everything in front of him. He knows hes real as he's alive and thinking and how he can't stop thinking of how he feels almost every bit of himself- of his skin and the wind blowing past it, of his insides with his the thrum of his heart beating and cool ink getting splashed onto him in a turf war. To feel the clack of his top and bottom row of teeth together. Too concious and feeling every milimeter of movement of his limbs underneath him. He's alive but all too aware of himself and his movements. All too conscious of himself for comfort and ease of mind. Overly animated in his motions, that he is a performance of a being rather than what is authentically living, waving both hands to say hello and try to be part of conversations and speak when hes in a group. In after when hes alone he wonders how obvious the performance was. Were they just nodding along to be polite? 

He can't fathom a reality of getting all he wants for his body and in a defeatist mindset still doesn't try to change what he can to the best of his ability. Preferring as such to hide behind the headgear. Finding security there than anything else he's tried.

So he prefers to just take it out of the equation by hiding behind the full headed mask, taking away the identifying qualities many squids have of personalized hair and what not. 

He recognizes that he still stands out by virtue of not showing his face but finds it more comforting that still they cant see him. 

To not have to worry about the expression he makes and how he looks takes some weight off his shoulders. Due ironically to the heavier weighted gear on top of his head.

The fear of being perceived, the distaste of viewing themself, and discomfort of being a person is hauntingly isolating to the squid and believes many would not understand in this day and age for how highlighted individuality and personal style along is in popular culture 

Often more in his own head and selfish due to his own behavior in not making actual connection with others to understand others in depth as if they would then they'd realize many others out there could be feeling similarly. 

To not reach out is to his own detriment. To be too ego- centered as concerned so much of himself, his looks and how he behaves around others to think that others CAN understand and believes hes just singularly 'faulty' compared to others in society.

To him being outside with others is more performance and motion of acting like a person than ' being' a person. A puppet on strings that hes also the one puppeteering.

To others that while they dont know his face or know what he looks like the staple of how he emotes with his whole body and keeps a regular routine of where and when hes at, 

That the most identifying feature of him is his dyed finger tips that are abnormal for a squid but not impossible with the new fads as octolings meld with society more 

Minto also finds bones- the model- Fascinating enough to remember in how she is also in his own mind ' an abnormal squid'
