i don’t want to hear anybody diminishing mel and frank’s bond when every episode just makes it clearer and clearer that he’s the only person so far that actually cares enough to check in on her, to listen to her, to try to understand her… the show is showing us that mel is desperate to connect, and the fact is, langdon’s the only character that’s been shown connecting w her, of course that means something!

And god, rehab and time away to think did wonders for Langdon as a teacher. The whole Dr. J sequence was just a thing of beauty, actually. The way he lets Victoria take over the case without question and doesn't correct her or get on her case over anything, and the way he's obviously ribbing her over being a TikTok influencer and she obviously loves being ribbed over it and plays along completely.
