got sidetracked remembering that shawn is older than lister at the respective starts of their series and got me thinking about pre-psych shawn. i really wish they got more into on the road hoping from town to town on his motorcycle. a shawn that can't hold a job down because he's itching to run again (i love thinking about "flight risk" shawn). like yeah he had a job working at a hot dog truck shaped like a hot dog but like what about a shawn who's having late night run-ins with the wrong people and has to nurse his wounds at a gas station? what about a shawn whose gotten way too good a hot wiring a car? or just even other inane stuff that he's done while traveling i wiiiish they brought up his jack of trades thing with him traveling a bunch a lot more often. a shawn separated from gus is something i think about a lot because it's a shawn that really isn't held accountable at all
