An extrait of : ten years one shift

The world is heavy sometimes, and people carry their own weight in ways that can hurt others without meaning to. But you don’t have to carry it with them. You can step back, breathe, and protect your own heart.

Don’t try to fix them. Don’t try to claim responsibility for their actions!

You’re allowed to hold your space, even if that space means letting go.

I’ve realized that love and understanding don’t always need a reciprocation to matter.

SomeTimes you give it, sometimes you witness it, sometimes you just learn.

And that learning that quiet, painful, honest learning is enough to shape how you move forward.

Some friendships last. Some don’t. And that’s life. But in all of it, there’s a chance to see the world more clearly, to see yourself more clearly, and to let the people and experiences that are meant to stay, stay.

I don’t know if I can really give tips, not while I’m still in this middle of it all. But if I were to share something, it would be this:

run. Run toward life,

toward people, toward yourself. You’ll find a lot of people who resonate with you, and if you don’t, first go find yourself.

Even if you think you’re not enough, even if you feel unworthy don’t let someone else’s actions define your value.

If this friend acted the way she did, it’s not because you weren’t enough it’s because she saw something in you that maybe she couldn’t handle herself.

Windows at night drive me insane in the best way. Like who are these people? What are they laughing about? Are they in love? Are they about to break up? Is someone writing the next great novel right now, or just doom-scrolling in a dimly lit room?

I love how every little glowing square is its own universe. A girl brushing her hair in front of a mirror, unaware she looks like a painting. Two friends sitting on a windowsill, legs crossed, faces close—are they spilling secrets or talking about aliens? Someone alone, staring at nothing, lost in the kind of thoughts they’ll never say out loud.

It makes me want to live a thousand different lives. To be the couple whispering under warm lamp light. The person playing music with the window cracked open, letting the night listen in. The silhouette in the café, steam curling up from a coffee cup, deep in conversation with someone who just gets them.

These kinds of rooftop spaces are pure magic. They take the concept of “home” and stretch it just a little closer to the sky. A living room wrapped in golden sunlight, a balcony perched above the world, a secret hideaway where time slows down.

It’s the best of both worlds cozy enough to feel like a sanctuary, open enough to make you feel free. You could sip coffee here in the morning while the city wakes up, or curl up with a book as the sun melts into the horizon. And at night? String lights, deep conversations, and the kind of quiet that only rooftops understand.
