knowing your writing partner can potentially make writing together a lot easier ! THE BASICS
Name: cereal (my first name starts with an "E")
Pronouns: she, but if you want to use "them", I'm not picky
Sexuality: raging bisexual
Taken or Single: Single cat lady (and very happy with it!)
I once got arm checked by a security guard at an anime con who thought I was rushing a J-Pop band. I wasn't. I was just extremely tired, I was in Texas in summer, and someone that didn't reserve our room was asleep in it.
I won some kind of national award in elementary school for a children's news video that should've gotten me to meet the board of the now defunct Panasonic. I was a little shit with bad emotional regulation though, and the teacher wouldn't take me on the trip.
I'm very distantly (and indirectly) related to Edgar Allen Poe, which means absolutely nothing because we share no genetic connection at this point. But it's a fun fact, and I like to call him "Cousin Edgar" as a joke.
How long? (months/years): I've been RPing since... oof, AIM was around? The late 90s? I didn't know what it was called then. A lot of websites called their joint writing "round robins". I joined Tumblr in 2014 to help me cope with the anniversary of a tragedy that's left me with PTSD. I never left!
Platforms you've used: A lot of them. IRC, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo Groups, Skype, etc. etc. Tumblr is my favorite.
Best experience: I've met people I'm still IRL friends with 20+ years later. Maybe not a "best" experience, but the posts about toxic behavior, emotional regulation, RSD, etc. that I found on Tumblr helped me more than decades of therapy and helped me on a path to "fixing" myself and processing a lot of childhood trauma, so I'll be forever grateful. I credit the OOC posts from the Tumblr RPC for making me a "not shit" person. ... Which is weird because usually the RPC has the opposite effect on people.
Male or Female: (or enby, etc.) I like all. If it's a fantasy/non-modern setting, I can write male characters. I've always had a problem writing male characters in modern settings, though. I'm sad to say I haven't written many enby characters, but hopefully I'll correct that in the future when I have more time.
When it comes to the partner's muse: I don't care. Writing chemistry is what matters.
Fluff, Angst, Smut: Yes. And psychological and psychosexual horror. And horror in general. My favorite is probably psychosexual horror (blame Clive Barker). But I honestly want to write everything.
In regards to smut: I love to write it as a character examination and writing exercise, but I don't have a lot of it going on at my smut blog right now. I tend to only write drabbles or meme prompts--and only for mutuals age 25+.
Plots or Memes: Yes. Meme interaction to build dynamics is easier for me when life is hectic. Most of all, I like creating and building stories with other writers.
Long or Short Replies: Yes. For long replies, I often have to revise and remove multiple paragraphs so things don't get off track. For "short' replies, it's really hard for me to stay under two paragraphs.
Best Time To Write: Inspiration always comes at work. Imagine that.
Are You Like Your Muse(s): Absolutely not. I'd probably respect Tess in real life, but I'd really dislike her as a person. We're both good at holding a grudge, though.
