Land of Adventures and Candles: A magical darkness has enveloped the land, and this has caused all of the consorts to become hopeless and depressed. It is the Sylph’s job to light candles all around the land to bring light back to the consort’s lives; however, the small candles dotting the landscape will eventually be extinguished, and the real way to bring light back to the land is to first re-light the gigantic candles at the heart of each consort village (guarded by imps and the like), which illuminates a tower at the center of the land, where the denizen lives. Return the light to that tower, and the Land is saved.

There are some seriously old asks in there that I don’t even know if anyone would be interested in hearing me answer anymore. If your ask was in there, sorry I didn’t get to it, but feel free to re-ask.

Ha, yeah, I mostly just saw a message in my inbox and answered it. This blog is still pretty dead! But to answer your question, that’s a great land quest! Is the denizen involved in any way with the stars disappearing? Maybe there could be some sort of star-based gambling system among the consorts, working with the themes of luck and predictions with light players, and because the stars are disappearing the consorts’ economy is falling apart. It’s always fun to have mini games and side quests in lands. Or the stars used to flash messages down to the planet below, and now that the stars are missing the messages are fragmented and unintelligible. Once all of the stars are returned, they could flash a message down to the player with some story significance, like the location of the denizen!

It’s hard to answer this without knowledge of the player’s personality or class, but here are some void-related words: Null, abyss, lacuna, hollow, jetsam, invisibility, nothingness, shadow, irrelevance, obfuscation, horizon, spirals

Because writing is difficult and writing to accommodate a specific character’s development is even more difficult? If you want some advice, think about what your character wants and what your character needs. As in, what they want, their conscious goals, and what they need, what flaw they need to fix in themselves. If you have problems with thinking of creative, unique quests, it might be easier to think up the premise of the land first. What problem has the denizen caused? How can the player fix it?
