Karen Page: I know you think my judgements clouded because I like Frank a little bit.
Matt Murdock: You doodled your wedding invitation.
Karen Page: That’s our joint tombstone.
Matt Murdock: My mistake.
Jean Grey looked into the wrong minds at the wrong time.
Friendly Reminder
OLK - not BND - is from Frank's perspective. We know from Frank's innermost thoughts that he wants, needs, and loves Karen, even if he has yet to admit it to himself.
It would have been nice to get a direct mention of Karen or substantial breadcrumbs in BND, but at least we know from OLK that it's Karen whom Frank thinks about for comfort and support. It's Karen whom he wants by his side. It's Karen whom he has romantic feelings for. It's Karen whom he wants so badly that he thought her hallucination was real. This is all canon, and BND doesn't change that.
If they weren't going to move forward with Kastle, then they would have never put Karen in that pivotal scene.
I've gotta congratulate daredevil producers for knowing EXACTLY how to appeal to the female gaze, I mean...

Karen ends up being Frank's "after."
he can’t keep his fucking eyes off of their hands. he’s holding her hand. he keeps holding it tighter. he’s holding her!!!!!

They're genuinely so perfect for each other it's insane. Their chemistry is so good and they match each other so well in personality and looks.
I'm so sick of being force fed Matt x Karen. Please, Kastle is all I want for Christmas.
Albert Camus, from a letter to MarÃa Casares featured in Correspondance, 1944-1959
Jon saying that Frank sees his daughter in Karen and who she could have grown up to be is not him comparing Karen to Lisa or saying that Frank views Karen as a daughter. Frank hallucinated Karen wearing his wife's hoodie - not his daughter's clothes - and Frank literally went in for a kiss. He most certainly does not view Karen as a daughter.
I do believe that Jon has also said that if Frank ended up with anyone, it would be Karen, so...
It's interesting that when Deb gets asked about Karen and how they changed her from the comics, she brings up Frank and talks about the Kastle dynamic.
Then, when Jon is talking about Frank and taking on his character, he brings up Karen and the Kastle dynamic.
It's almost like Kastle is fundamental to both Karen and Frank.

Really, though, Doctor, tell me, who are you? Do you know like how we were saying? About the Earth revolving. It's like when you're a kid. The first time they tell you that the world's turning and you just can't quite believe it 'cause everything looks like it's standing still. I can feel it. The turn of the Earth. The ground beneath our feet is spinning at a thousand miles an hour, and the entire planet is hurtling round the sun at 67,000 miles an hour, and I can feel it. We're falling through space, you and me, clinging to the skin of this tiny little world, and if we let go... That's who I am. Now forget me, Rose Tyler. // Doctor Who 1.01: Rose
