“Neither will acting like they don’t exist,” she countered, arms crossed over her chest.

“That’s actually not a bad idea.”

That stunned her for a good second or two. “Then go.”

“you’re not wrong,” julia chimed, a dimpled smile apparent. she had come to terms that it was possible she’d die in the merge and she was okay with it, though it only made her time more precious, especially with maria. “will you?” she’ll hum, “in that case i better work on my toast.”

“On a scale of one to five, I want a one.”

“What do you believe in, then?  Anything at all?”

“that’s adorable.”

“But they are.”

“I’m stating facts.”

a childish pout forms on her cherubic features, “you’re annoying.” was julia bothered that her girlfriend was making appearances as her brothers fiance, of course, though jude did have her first. “of course i want to help, i practically chose the color scheme. but you’re right, i do want to be a bridesmaid, besides this might be my only chance.”

god, did she love it when julia pouted. “you’re beautiful.” the werewolf teased, biting her lip as she looked at her, only changing her expression when her girlfriend emphasized her mortality. “don’t talk like that.” maria protested, not wanting to think about losing her girlfriend, now, or ever for that matter. “you’ll be the hottest bridesmaid in the room... and if you play the part well enough, i might even make it worth your while.”

“That’s a understatement.”

“smart move.”

“there’s only one way to find out.”

“cute. i just can’t help thinking how much better it’d look on me.”

“Like you’d get it even if I tried.”

“I didn’t say that science would give me the answers,” she gently corrected, “just that I’d find them because of what science has given me.”
