i literally want atn to be longer than 1000 pages
what is the correct way to read the locked tomb series
gtn, htn, ntn, repeat until you have a base understanding (may take 3+ cycles)
gtn, htn, ntn with a couple months to a year of processing between each book
rereading each book multiple times before moving on to the next one
all three of these
a secret fifth answer (comment)
Pick a Griddlehark lyric from my Gideon & Harrow playlists
A kick in the teeth is good for some; a kiss with a fist is better than none
I think about you all the time, and my deep misunderstanding of your life
Make up your mind, let me live or let me love you
If I could hold you for a minute, I would go through it again
I do not exist to die, but live to die while saving you
I pictured you with other girls in love, then threw up on the street
But I forgave this worthless world because it gave me you
She's the tear in my heart, I'm alive, she's the tear in my heart, I'm on fire
At your altar I will pray, you're the sculptor, I'm the clay
But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife

Would Nona (The Locked Tomb) have a Nanea Mitchell doll?
Yes!
Maybe?
Nah
Alice Nanea Mitchell didn’t want to be the baby of the family anymore; her and her best friends were working hard to find a way to prove themselves mature. But she has to grow up a lot faster than anticipated when Pearl Harbor is bombed, and her family and community are ripped apart. With everything in chaos, Nanea grounds herself with the ones she loves, and works to find a way to help where she can.
Nanea was first released in 2017.
Propaganda: I recognize the irony of giving Nona a doll that’s technically made by Mattel. However! Girls on the beach! Being affected by war! Also I think Nona would love a doll

ROUND 3 — Match 61 of 72
Wallace Wells (Scott Pilgrim)
Identity: Gay, explicit Notes: Directly described as gay by himself and other characters, and shown in multiple relationships with men. Propaganda: "he can steal a scene in about five seconds. he’s effortlessly funny, kind of smug, fully aware that he’s the most put-together person in the room, and somehow manages to be both a total bitch and one of the most likeable people in the series. he just has that exact supporting character magic where every time he shows up the whole thing gets better. he also stands out because he gets to be cool in a way gay side characters so often weren’t, especially in stuff from that era. he’s not written like a joke, or as someone the audience is meant to pity, or as a lesson in tolerance. he’s just sharply funny, socially competent, and very clearly cooler than scott on every level. that alone makes him memorable."
vs. Gideon Nav (The Locked Tomb)
Identity: Lesbian, explicit Notes: Repeatedly states attraction to women in-text, and explicitly referred to as a lesbian by Tamsyn Muir. Propaganda: "Sword-wielding butch with big muscles <3"
Who should advance?
Wallace Wells
Gideon Nav

TGIF! I don’t have the mental capacity to make an out of context locked tomb meme (tho I have some ideas for later) so INSTEAD:
who would win a cigarette chain-smoking competiton?
Augustine
G1deon
Mercymorn
Ianthe
Pyrrha
Harrow (….no)
Paul
NOTE: not necessarily who would enjoy it but who would be able to endure the most before giving up
ANOTHER NOTE: yes I’m listing G1deon and Pyrrha separately and also Paul
A FINAL NOTE: be careful, smoking cigarettes is a HUGE no-no and tamsmuir DID NOT consider this when writing Ianthe’s smoking kink
Would Harrowhark Nonagesimus listen to Autoclave by The Mountain Goats?
Would Harrowhark Nonagesimus (The Locked Tomb) listen to "Autoclave" by The Mountain Goats?
yes
no
idk the character
ROUND 2 — Match 122 of 143
Tarquin (Dragon Age)
Identity: Trans man, explicit Notes: Referred to as trans by Taash in an in-game note. Propaganda: 1. "He’s in love with his double boss, an in universe equivalent of both batman and the pope" 2. "tarquin is a really meaningful one to me because he shows a version of trans manhood you genuinely almost never get to see. obviously pre-transition and non-passing trans men matter hugely too, and they should be represented, because that is a real and important experience. but it is still SO rare to get a trans man in media who is fully read as just some guy unless you actually learn more about him. tarquin has that. he has the beard, the presence, the straightforward masculinity, and the game does not frame him like a walking lesson the second he appears. you find out he’s trans because it’s part of who he is, not because the whole design is built to announce it from across the room. that matters a lot, honestly, because trans male representation so often gets stuck in this really limited visual lane where characters are only allowed to be visibly “in process” to the audience. again, there is nothing wrong with that, but it is not the only trans experience. seeing a character where you could meet him, think “oh, that’s just a man,” and only later learn that he’s trans feels unusual, especially in games this big. there is something really validating about a trans man being allowed that kind of ordinary, complete, unquestioned maleness on screen. so he stands out not just because he’s trans, but because he represents a kind of trans masculinity that barely ever gets depicted at all. that makes him memorable in a way that goes beyond “points for inclusion.” he feels like an actual expansion of what trans men in games are allowed to look like." 3. "he talks about how his gender and transness intersects with the culture and community he was raised in in a way that's really illuminating about both things!!"

Identity: Lesbian, explicit Notes: Repeatedly states attraction to women in-text, and explicitly referred to as a lesbian by Tamsyn Muir. Propaganda: "Sword-wielding butch with big muscles <3"
