How could a blog showcasing peoples beautiful work provoke hate?

Who never get a chance to be little

Who are transgender and want to transition but don’t think they ever can

Who are only little when they’re completely alone

Who are trans or non-binary and have no one to safely talk to

Who don’t know or can’t decide how they identify

Who don’t keep little things because what if someone sees

Who have never told anyone offline about their gender identity

… Or their sexual orientation

… Or their little interests

rest stops on highways

trails by the highway just out of earshot of traffic

schools during breaks

those little beaches right next to ferry docks

your friends living room once everybody but you is asleep

the lighting section of home depot

the backseat of your own car when someone else is driving

an empty downtown on a sunday evening

napping in a child’s bedroom

old-fashioned soda fountains

riding in taxis in the pouring rain with city lights flashing by

climbing the steps from a dark basement

An empty interstate at 3 am
