Back at the agency, the two meet with the woman Trucy gave the flyer too, who introduces herself as Alita Tiala.
She explains her request is defending, as her fiancé, the heir to the Kitakis, has been arrested and charged with murder.
She gives the two a letter of request, and they head to the detention center to meet with Wocky Kitaki. Finding he's in questioning, they decide to use the letter to see if that can get them into investigating the murder scene at the park.
There, the two try to get the officer to let them in, but he still refuses, until Klavier Gavin, the ultra-famous prosecutor-musician brother of Kristoph Gavin steps in.
After leading the two to the scene of the crime, he heads back to his shiny motorcycle parked out front.
There they find the missing noodle stand, with a mannequin taped in place to appear to be pulling it.
Ema Skye, the detective on scene runs over to stop them, groaning when they inform her Gavin let them in, but accepting the letter of request for them to take a look.
She tells them the mannequin is in place of the body, as it was found pulling the noodle stand. But she refuses to let them take a closer look, and the duo head back to the hospital to tell Wright the new information.
They tell him about the defense request, as well as the scene of the crime, and the detective.
Phoenix tells them he helped the detective on a case 10 years ago, and asks them to go back to the office and retrieve a bottle of white powder to give to her.
They head back to the park and give the detective the bottle, and after she questions how they got their hands on it, they tell her they're Wright's daughter & new apprentice. She tells them the powder is used for finding fingerprints, and that they can help her with her forensics investigations on this case.
They find a knife stuck in the ground with prints on it, and unlucky for them, they belong to the defendant. They rifle through the trash, and find another pair of panties, likely belonging to Plum Kitaki. Finding nothing else of notice, they go back and talk to Skye.
Skye shows them the autopsy report of Pal Meraktis, and tells them the cause of death was a shot to the temple. They tell Skye who the noodle stand belongs to as well. They ask Skye more about her job, and she confides in them that she's wished to be a forensics scientist since she was young, but after studying abroad and coming back, she was put in criminal affairs instead.
They ask her what she knows about the defendant, and she knows he's been shouting up a storm on the detention center, and that there was a witness to his crime.
She asks if they've met with the defendant, and since visiting hours are nearly over, they probably should, and bids them farewell.
