Humans would rather take shelter in their insecurity and act insensitive towards the people who care for them in the name of being broken than confronting it to become a better person. They always go to the easy way which is suffering, blaming oneself, blaming others, choosing to be cold and lonely and getting comfortable in doing so. They seek peace but never for once do they choose to be brave and do what's actually right for them. They escape first, and then seek peace in intoxicants and bad companies. The truth is, you are running away from the solace you are desperate for by running away from yourself.

...I liked the idea of living in a city – any city, especially a strange one – liked the thought of traffic in a coffee shop, who knew what kind of odd, solitary life I might slip into? Meals alone, walking the dogs in the evenings; and nobody knowing who I was.
