a  desert  rose:                the  gem’s  rosy  silhouette  vividly  contrasts  the  land  set  behind  herself.       ahead  of  her,                there’s  𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏,              glorious  in  its  presence,          and  magnificent  at  sight      .                                   there  was  something                  something  so  delicate,                  about  a  creature  like  him,            that  seemed  to  capture  her  attention  before  anything  else           .                   (              𝕤𝕙𝕖    𝕙𝕒𝕕    𝕠𝕟𝕝𝕪    𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨𝕟    𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕖    𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥’𝕕    𝕚𝕟𝕔𝕚𝕥𝕖    𝕗𝕖𝕒𝕣    𝕨𝕚𝕥𝕙    𝕠𝕟𝕖’𝕤    𝕤𝕚𝕫𝕖    𝕒𝕟𝕕    𝕕𝕖𝕞𝕖𝕒𝕟𝕠𝕣.              )                                him  ?      he  was  just.        as  she’d  hope  to  be.                               now  that  she’s  reached  his  spot,     her  figure  kneels  down,    in  front  of  his  own,   a  careful  hand  extended  outwards,   as  to  meet  with  the  fur  adorning his  face     .

oddity  is  approached  first  with  caution     ,          then  with  curiosity     :          something  new  to   be  discovered     ,          to  smell          &          to  touch       ⸻       perhaps  to  taste       ?              breaths  taken  eagerly  at  the  edge  of  curious  thing     ,          hoping  it  to  be  something  meant  for  eating       ...              or  at  the  very  least  chewed  upon       .

a  lone  beast     ,          solitary  upon  the  dunes     ,          feasts  upon  latest  catch     :          easily  spotted  for  the  unnatural  hue  of  pelt     ,          pink  where  should  be  a  tawn - gold       .              unperturbed  by  seclusion     ,          gaze  is  cast  out  upon  endless  sands     ,          awaiting  an  arrival       .
