GLEE: I wave to you silently
I love this show. I have loved this show when it was good, and bad, and having mood swings, and everywhere in between.
Because I am loyal to my favorite shows. Because it led me to discover online fandom. Because it has provided a bright spot (silly, irrelevant, irreverent, and fun) to my weeks, in times when I really needed it and in times when I was okay but it was still just really nice to have it around.
Because, although I would love to write a deep, insightful, meaningful post that everyone can relate to, instead I have a lot of things to express but can't always find a way to make that happen -- BUT I can see some of it reflected in the posts that fellow Glee fans make, and that lets me know that someone else actually gets it.
There's more to say. I suppose there's always more to say, when there's time for it. Glee gave us these two great finale episodes. I think they really did a great job with them - tears, happy, sad, poignant - the beloved characters and actors, and always the music to go with them. I will miss it. But I'm not sad. Hmmm.
I just - one person's opinion - I have enjoyed the ride and appreciate that this show I've gotten so much enjoyment from got to go out on a high note!
Tumblr ate part of that last post! Working on it. This may take a while.

I know Glee gets a lot of hate (from other fandoms, from friends/family, ect) and sometimes I can feel judged for watching it, but I love Glee. Glee makes me happy. Glee makes me smile. Glee makes me feel like I am understood. So I don’t care what anyone else thinks, Glee is my family.
And this week in "I'm not really an idiot, I just play one sometimes":
Recorded tonight's Glee so I could watch it when I got home; recorded over last week's Glee episode in the process. Sigh.
(On the plus side, I have now met my season 5 quota for Glee-related VCR incidents - hopefully that means I'm in the clear. Thought I could maybe avoid them all this year, but nooooooo...)
Random pet peeve of the moment:
"per say"
I. Love. Into the Woods, so I was thrilled when they started the episode with 'No One Is Alone' - and everyone sounded great on it!
#auditioning for the role of motherfucker that stole my heart forever

He popped the first two. Now he carries this one very gently
Blaine probably got the SodaStream as a graduation present from some well-meaning but out of touch aunt, and he brought it to the loft as a joke but then got fixated on it in the way that Blaine does.
And Kurt’s just like, “Blaine, not everything needs to have bubbles.” And...
I LOVE that in this episode Kurt wore the shirt which was first worn when he told Blaine he wanted him to transfer to mcKinley so he could spend every moment of every day together.
LOL, costume department!
I DIDN’T NOTICE THAT!!!!

I love how Elliott just patiently waits for Blaine to finish his little tirade then calmly gets to work letting Blaine know what’s what.
It’s amazing how Elliott handles every one of these overdramatic people who’ve been in his life since he joined the band - Kurt, Rachel, Santana and now Blaine. He makes such a great contrast to their insanity.Â
I loved this SO MUCH. I loved insecure, jealous, upset, out-of-control Blaine. And Elliott as the lone straight man in this drama-filled world is like my favorite thing EVER. Can he please stay forever and ever?
I loved how Elliott's next impulse is to hand Blaine a guitar, with the reasoning that it's "kind of like a body pillow. I think it will calm you down." He's got a kind of wisdom about his crazy new friends - they need that, and also, he's growing on me.
Europeans: I drove forty minutes to the Netherlands for some groceries and then I popped into Germany to see some of my relatives before driving back home.
Americans: I was in Florida, I drove for nine hours, now I'm still in Florida.
#australians: i drove for nine hours #now i'm nine hours away from home #no one is here #the streets are empty #how did this happen #where has civilisation gone #i am alone in the universe #oh wait no there's an echidna it's okay
