He became a newsie when his brother accidentally pushed him off a bridge/ship into the water one night while arguing (omori style) And he didn’t go back to his family cus 1. He forgot where they lived, 2. He didn’t want to go back anyway so he kinda wandered around looking for a place to stay and met the newsies 🤯
His brother thinks he killed him and visits the water Soaker fell in sometimes 😄!!
His family was terrible but they were both too scared to run away. They just needed that extra push :)
Ok now this is about to be me yapping about little facts and personality things about Soaker that I will update every now and then: ⬇️

Soaker and his brother would have to steal food to eat a healthy amount and his brother would always secretly give Soaker more
They worked at a coal mine D:
His brother was a daydreamer and would always tell Soaker fairytales and imaginary happy ending stories. Led to Soaker also being a daydreamer with that hope to have a life like in those fairytales. Also a hopeless romantic (me fr)
Sometimes his brother would tell him stories of the picture perfect happy family to help him sleep
Soakers not very street smart and got a big mouth so hes almost always getting into fights that he thinks he’d totally win (he barely ever does) So his brother would always protect Soaker and try to calm down the other kid or help Soaker and get him out of the fight. His brother protected him and his innocence as much as he could 😭
They were close until something happened to his brother and the brother started to be more distant and quiet (which eventually led to the bridge lol)
After his brother got more distant, Soaker had no one to keep him out of fights. Smh (I am crying)
Likes collecting random things and rocks and SHINY THINGS and sometimes giving them to people :3
LOVES animals and will always come back to the lodging house with a random new pet then cry when he was to put it back outside
Loves wandering around and appreciating the little things that get taken for granted and the beauty of life and stuff (me fr)

Ma parents thought I was diseased and didn’t want me infectin ma sister even though we were inseparable. They just chose her over me, I was thrown out at 10 and became a newsie. On my birthday.
