So, this happened!!! I don't usually talk about it too much, but I do tend to brag around my anniversaries! 4 years down, a life time to go!

I saw an armadillo!!!!

I am in a walking boot, and a support brace for a while, the doc is trying to figure out what is going on with my foot :(

There is a drainage ditch/rain reservoir in the apartment complex. Bear in mind this place is built to handle hurricane levels of weather.. Last week over 10 inches of rain fell, and this guy has wandered up to the drainage ditch. It's a great place if you are an alligator, it's down a steep slope so he won't be bothered, there are briers and blackberries growing on each side, so he's safe, and there is a cool pipe that goes under the road to the other side where he has deeper water and more trees.

All in all he is not hurting anything, but he has to be getting hungry. The apartment complex says he will move when he is ready. In the meantime, I am keeping a very watchful eye.

It's actually a drainage catch for heavy rains, but it's been a pond for a week or so.

If anyone would have told me that the little green dude whose wings make a heart when he sleeps would still be my bestie in 2023, I would have never been able to imagine it!

This little man is celebrating his Hatch Day today! 25 years young, and still as spunky as ever! Here's hoping to another 25!
