being an artist these days is depressing because there's AI literally everywhere. References, work process, ideas. Everyone uses that shit. People just completely ignore how bad it actually is not only for the environment but also for people.

Less and less people comission artists, less and less people buy art or employ artists. Like- what do you mean I won't be able to do art as a profession once I'm out of Uni without having to use AI??? What do you mean this is the same for so many people because this was the only thing we were really good at and had fun doing??

I know I'm not the only one who's started losing his passion for doing art, the motivation, because of how things have been going recently.

I wish we could just go back to like 6 years ago where the generative AI pics shit was nothing but stupid pictures that people only used for memes :[
