Hi hi! This is a system blog for us! We follow from @wolfgirlcoven!
πΏAbout UsπΏ
Bodily 26
Collective Pronouns they/them
Collectively Pagan
Largely nonhuman or alterhuman (though we tend to shy away from this term and prefer nonhuman)
Traumagenic System (suspected DID or OSDD-1b but not diagnosed) of who knows how many tbh
πΏSyscourse StanceπΏ
Our syscourse stance could be described as Nuanced, leaning Anti-Endo, and heavily Anti-Willo.
We're open to non-trauma based plurality as a concept, and acknowledge that Plurality as a term was coined to be inclusive of non-traumagenic manifestations of such (even if we wish it wasn't low-key).
However due to the history of the term System (which can be found on @/pluraldeepdive), we feel it should be reserved for Traumagenic/CDD plurals only, along with other terms like alters, parts, multiplicity, etc. when used in a plurality context.
Likewise we believe that the non-traumagenic plural community has some underlying issues in regards to how they handle very valid criticism of their community, as well as issues with appropriating CDD terms & contributing to the stigma and misinformation towards CDDs.
There are terms out there that already describe non-trauma based experiences, such as soulbonding for example. The issue lies with Endos & the like equating their experiences to CDD experiences via terminology. If you are not trauma based, you are not a System. Use a different term.
We are also STAUNCHLY anti-willogenic. The word your looking for is soulbond, thought form, or tulpa, not system, not alter, not parts. We are also very satunchly against "build a headmate" type posts, the concept of "system hopping", etc.
We also feel that perhaps identifying as plural should be up to the individual system, rather than assumed, as not all systems consider themselves to be plural, and many systems take the approach of being multiple parts of a single individual, rather than multiple people in one body.
Plurality, thus, in our eyes, is more akin to a subculture, whereas Multiplicity & Having a System is part of having a Complex Dissociative Disorder like DID or OSDD. Some systems may consider themselves to be part of the plural subculture, such as ourselves, others may stay away from it. It is up to the individual system whether or not they consider themselves plural.
Ultimately the experience of Traumagenic Systems & Multiples, and Endogenic Plurals are inherently different, and to claim that they're the same or similar to the point of using Traumagenic and Psychiatric terms for non-CDD plurality, is immensely disrespectful and directly harms those with CDDs.
We also feel that plurality should not be considered alterhuman, as it one - dehumanizes plurals who consider themselves human, and also does a disservice to those of us who are nonhuman by conflating the experience of non humanity with an experience that is in part, due to mental illness, this stigmatizing people like therians, otherkin, and transpecies even more than we already are.
πΏOur Nonhuman stancesπΏ
Our stance on Nonhumanity has changed a bit: While we do still hold to the belief that believing one's body is biologically anything other than human is inherently harmful, we do understand that Physical Nonhumanity often is not quite that. We're accepting of Physical Alterhumans in the sense of "I am wholly nonhuman, even if my body appears otherwise and operates otherwise". There's more nuance to it than we initially thought. So long as you understand that your vessel/form/body is humanoid, we're good.
We are still generally anti P-shifter though, and do not think that those who genuinely have Clinical Lycanthropy/Zoanthropy should have their delusions encouraged, and fully believe that doing such causes more harm than good based on personal experience. We also believe that alot of the beliefs surrounding the communities of P-Shifters & Mythicals specifically are inherently harmful, especially when it comes to stuff like "hunters", "awtok", etc. We know because we considered ourselves to be mythicals and were involved with said community for a solid three years or so and it did irreversible damage to us.
Does this mean we're not open to the idea of shapeshifting? No not necessarily. We practice something along the lines spiritual shapeshifting and bi-location ourselves as a part of our witchcraft practice. Believe what you want, so long as you're not hurting yourself or others. We just think the P-Shifter community itself runs a very high risk of danger.
Other than that we don't really give a fuck how people self identify.
πEndos & Willogenic systems please DNI, as my experience as a traumagenic system is NOT like yours and I'm looking to interact with people who have similar experiences.π
