Happy Hour is in fact the greatest hour(s) of the day. You’ve spent the day working hard and you deserve a reward. A beverage, a snack, or the company of friends the choice is yours (personally we prefer all three).  Tuesday through Saturday we provide two of the three here in our very own bar. Chef Branden Marsh skillfully crafts the At-ease menu with each season, making sure that the ingredients are in season and of the highest quality. Summers are the best time to enjoy and after hours beverage on the veranda here at the house, and the west side of the house is reserved just for our happy hour patrons. I may be a little slow on the uptake, but the official end of the traditional summer season was about two weeks ago. As I sit here still soaking up some rays on the veranda with a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc I can't help but wonder what that means.  No More white pants, or handbags? Time to get the kids geared up for their studies? None of these things really signify the end of the season for me. I mean I can't really believe that summer is "over" when it still feels much like it did when summer was in full swing. I instead chose to relish in these last few weeks of impeccable weather with good food, wine, and fun times. Here's to the under-appreciated Indian Summer.
