Getting out there
I've decided to start sharing links to my regular blog here on my tumblr. I am feeling a little weird about it, but I like the idea of sharing bits of my "normal" life with tumblr and not just some internet persona. I want to share how my life is completely normal and mostly not affected by my GHSV1 at all. I ask that if you choose to click the links, read, comment, share, etc. please use discretion. I want to combine these worlds without telling my third cousin on my moms side about my herpes. They don't need to know.

What is life?
I have been reading through my old posts and it's so funny how things have changed...the guy I was writing about is sleeping next to me in our bed as I time my contractions and listen to the thunder roll outside. We've been together for almost a year now. I guess sometimes things work out when you least expect them to. To anyone who thinks their herpes who is the end of their life...you are so wrong. Keep your chin up. It will be okay.
Pregnant with GHSV1
When I found out I was pregnant I was terrified for what that would mean. Well so far Iām currently 37 weeks and I have not had a single outbreak my entire pregnancy. And I only just started taking anti-viral medication. Iāll be on that until I give birth.
Barring any bad luck (aka surprise glitter) I will NOT be having a C-section. My OBGYN is confident that this is safe for my baby and for me.
Any of my fellow herplrs pregnant or have been pregnant with herpes?

So I have a personal blog that I write in and share with my friends and family usually via FB. And I want to share it here. Ā But I still feel Ā a little worried about my anonymity. Ā I like being able to write here without being afraid that someone I know will read what I say and have some big issue with me. At least if someone I know did read this blog, it would probably be because they are also a herpblr and they have no idea itās my words their reading.Ā
I want to share that stuff here so badly, but I also love being able to say whatever I feel like without the fear of negative reactions.Ā

This is the bullshit Iām talking about. Fuck the stigma. We are not gross. We have have a virus that can be controlled in most cases. I donāt know about you guys but fuck the media. Iāve got herpes and Iām awesome.
Seriously though. And people who don't know how awesome we are or refuse to see it are missing out on knowing a really great person.
Commitment Issues
It's hard to date someone who is afraid of committing. I woke up in his bed this morning after not having sex last night and he says "this feels pretty serious." :/ He constantly refers to me as his friend and pretends he has no feelings for me...but I know that isn't true. I guess I can only hope that I can melt a bit of the ice around his injured heart...
