victoria javadi is one of if not the most interesting and incredible subversion of the genius archetype i have ever seen.
first off,she's a woman and a poc,which you don't often see in "genius" characters in film or tv.
second,while it is clearly shown how intelligent she is with solving cases (ex. black widow bite case in s1),she is not perfect at everything at first. she faints after seeing a bone setting procedure for the first time and sometimes she is not good at being subtle or nonjudgmental (a skill often needed in healthcare.) but she learns and works on those skills as the series progresses.
third of all,she is an incredibly likeable character. this is more of a personal opinion,but i often find genius characters really unlikeable as they are often very uncaring of the characters around them,very self-centered,etc,etc... but javadi is none of those things. it is shown repeatedly in the show that she cares deeply for her patients and her co-workers. she is not some stuck up genius,she is kind and caring while also being very intelligent.
tl;dr javadi is a well written and well acted character and i can't wait to see her in emergency psychiatry in s3!

she hadn’t slept this good in god knows how long, she’s even been getting a full eight hours (even more) every night. she’s been soaking up all the rest she can get before the inevitable torture of getting used to the night’s schedule, fall asleep as early as she could and staying in bed until her back started to cramp.
there’s been no issue of staying asleep when emery saunters into the room in the morning, just waking up to a warm body snoring lightly at 10 am.

“This is dumb.” Emery sits on the edge of the bathroom counter, fingers barely gripping the edge, hair frizzing every which- way.

Emery promptly rolls her eyes. “Yes, thank you.” And just when Samira thinks she’s given in. “However, let it be known that this is unnecessary. I would be fine with a ten minute shower. This is extra.”
Samira just huffs before adding the bath salts her mother had gifted her for her last birthday to the water. “Maybe you’re worth the extra mile.” she murmurs under her breath.
Emery must have not heard her because she’s still sitting there, slumped, when Samira looks over. She blinks, her eyes taking longer to open than usual—a sure sign she’s truly exhausted. (All the more reason for a nice bath.)
Samira steps over so she’s standing in between Emery’s thighs, hands on her shoulders massaging tension out. (Emery is always so tense it’s a wonder she hasn’t exploded.)

Samira had really intended for this bath to be a special, nice moment for Emery, but the sad eyes Emery blinks with makes her reconsider. She settles on, “Maybe. After a couple minutes.”
“Fine.”
Samira nudges her towards the water. “Get in.”
“Bossy.” But she obeys.
Her eyes close as she sinks into the water and she lets out a small groan. Samira can only hope that the water has had the desired effect of loosening some of the long-standing tension in Emery’s joints.
She’s reaching for the shampoo when Emery mumbles actual words.
