When I first got into the fandom I was obsessed with remus, regulus and lily respectively (you bet I love the idea of them being a friendgroup) and honestly my favs haven't changed much since then

Besides them my current favorites also include james (marauders) and marlene (valkyries) now!! (can you tell I have a trend with favorites)

Uhh I would say my favorites are probably Remus, Evan, and Mary I also really like young Peter and like my favorites change all the time so yeah

one of the troops returns from a crawl to the upside down with someone they took hostage. someone who they saw ‘talking’ to demogorgons. someone who has powers. someone like—

“max, what you mean there’s another jane? we destroyed the labs. you know that’s impossible, right?”

mike should know better than to argue with her by now. hopes the blade pressed against his throat helps as a reminder.

“i know what i saw, wheeler.” max looks at the rest of the party. sees jane cleaning up the blood from her nose from the fight that helped capture him.

max hears dustin and lucas gasp loudly next to her and she’s so honest to god confused. they’ve seen far worse than a guy muzzled and chained. she would know, she can still hear billy’s screams late at night.

but then, the hostage speaks.

and mike wheeler just falls. drops. surrenders. to his knees and full on sobs. as easy as breathing. his first breath of fresh air in the last 7 years.

“you do know he never stopped looking for you, right?” max says it before she can stop it, like her own tongue betrayed her. felt like the right thing to say, but also the painfully obvious one.

she’s sure mike has mentioned it only every breathing second will and him have been together since they found him.

joyce wasn’t wrong, ‘attached at the hip’ really didn’t made the cut for whatever those two had going on. seven years and an interdimensional abyss in the middle.

her parents could have taken some pointers.

“everyone kept telling him you were dead and he was just not having it.” will looks visibly sick to his stomach and max can’t blame him. they were just kids. “people got tired eventually, but not him.”

will fiddles with his michael the brave figurine between his fingers. the party had kept all them in perfect shape all these years. now, the paladin was back where he belonged, with his sorcerer.

“hell, even i wasn’t sure you were real for a while.” max snorts but he takes no offense. he hasn’t known her for long but seeing her interact with the rest of the party has taught him plenty.

still, will has to ask. just because “what did it for you then?”
