okay he's too hot to be real
David Hollander is definitely the type of man to randomly put on a song and pull his wife up to dance with him, especially if she’s stressing about something, or worrying, or upset, or just because. She will usually lightly protest, honey, I need to finish this email, but she’ll happily go along nonetheless.
David does it for the first time in front of Ilya when the boys are visiting and Shane and Yuna are planning (arguing) about something new brand deal.
He puts a song on the record player (Yuna has given up teaching him the Alexa), and he takes Yuna’s hand without a word. She protests that they need to plan out these contract terms and how his son is being difficult about it.
Shane starts to protest at that, but doesn’t get far until Ilya pulls him up to dance, too. A very embarrassed Shane goes willingly. He’s watched his father do this for years but never thought he would be pulled up to dance one day. From the fond looks from his parents, they probably didn’t either.
Shane meets Ilya’s smile with a half-hearted glare, but can’t deny swaying to the music in his boyfriend’s arms feels much better than stressing about a brand deal. Ilya makes a note to ask David for anymore tips and tricks.
I genuinely thought that your description said you had a 9/11 obsession and I was rrly concerned
OH NO 😭 don't worry it's just a silly gay firefighters obsession
it's funny how there's a few steps between "revolutionary" and "horrendous" yet somehow they're all forgotten if there's a female protagonist.... could it be... misogyny?

Finally, a "jaded alcoholic man whose loved ones are all dead avenges his dog" movie where the man's a woman and the dog doesn't die.
and look which movie the men are mad at 😐
I saw Supergirl... y'all just hate women lmao
So when anon gets a swastika carved into their locker it’s a hatecrime, but when hudson gets one drawn on him he’s the nazi?
Or maybe, they were both hatecrimed.
I don't like to call things very serious terms like "hate crime" if I don't know details and we have no detailed context about hudson but I'm willing to believe anon having their personal things marked with such a symbol while being jewish really can't have many other interpretations so their situation I can identify a bit more decisively?
The thing about that previous anon though is... without knowing the context that photo shows the one POC in the group having a swastika drawn ON him (not just something he owns) by a bunch of white people.
Do we know it was done maliciously? No. But do we know it wasn't? Also no!
yeah unfortunately context is really a hard thing to do with people you don't know so we can't assume much but like I said the environment had to play a role even if he was involved more than we'd want him to be
literally in 2018 when i was 17 i had swastikas carved into my locker because people knew i was jewish so i reserve every right to look down on hudson cause of this lol
oh absolutely I'm not trying to tell you how to feel and that was a fucking hate crime! all I'm saying is that every situation not directed AT someone like yours was needs context bc I personally believe doing stuff and doing it TO people can be different

i didnt grow up in a progressive environment but i knew better because my morals were strong. it is still unnerving to see that he was so spineless, even as a teen
I think that's still a bit privileged to say? I have no idea about your background, environment, etc. but we don't know that about hudson either so implying it was perfectly safe and easy to behave differently is a bit far fetched... there's hope in the fact that he changed! peer pressure and coping mechanisms are unfortunately very real and society will never progress anywhere if we call teenagers "spineless" as if perfect behavior is somehow always instinctive
let me start by saying I despise the phrase "hold him accountable" bc you quite literally can't do that on the internet and everyone using it has a different definition but firstly: that picture is Bad and there's no need to sugarcoat it so I'm incredibly sorry period
now a couple of other things about it:
- it was used as a stupid fandom fight bc op is a miserable person holding onto hurtful materials for months just to reveal them at a good moment for hudson (like the met gala)
- people arguing about "always knowing", bringing up connor, his team, etc don't care and shouldn't pretend they do
- shouldn't be an excuse but it's an important context that teenage boys will do just about anything to be "edgy" especially like pre 2016 which would be the first years of hudson's highschool and getting on a "well not around me" high horse doesn't really work if you don't acknowledge that that's a privilege of a progressive environment... not only that but sometimes ppl just didn't take pictures (disclaimer that I'm polish and god if the amount of history lessons didn't help our boys one bit imagine a white canadian town)
- there is a "poc in a white community" aspect to it that ppl expressed and I'm not entirely sure I can comment on but peer pressure and the fact that it was drawn ON hudson instead of BY him does count I think
lastly people need to carefully consider throwing out labels - if you wield the word "nazi" you need to fucking think about it bc putting it on objectively horrible but not actually ideologically horrifying actions makes it mean nothing and that's how bad things like elections happen
we should host hr club events again but instead of watching the episodes together the one lucky rich person let's everyone try on the $356 shane hollander fleece
has daniel craig seen heated rivalry and do we know the next knives out theme

I fully believe, to the depths of my soul, that if one of the Metros said “I bet Rozanov has a tiny dick”, Shane “maybe he’s sick” “he’s not” Hollander would instantly say “he doesn’t” and then walk into the ocean
