Trauma doesn't always make people stronger, for most people it makes them...
-Quicker to jump at things.
- Going with what the other person says to avoid conflict
- Seeing self care or love as something they have to earn rather than deserve
- Seeing parental figures as scary and more of a boss than a loving family member
- memorizing footsteps for safety
- having to hide important stuff so it won't be used against them
- panicking when people start to yell
- eating alone because of fear of being judged
- Thinking they have to be responsible for everything and still get no rights
- makes it harder on relationships and most of the time end up in bad ones, confusing attention for love
- gaslighting yourself because people told you your experiences weren't real or valid
- trying not to get too close to people in fear of them using or leaving you
Trauma doesn't make anyone stronger. We never wanted to be stronger we just wanted to be kids.
