soon after we had discovered our system we were in a server with a couple other systems and we had a lot of introjects from the same sources cuz we were into the same things. a few times alters from the same source would be interacting and someone would be like "omg do your remember that time you [insert some specific thing] in source??" and we would just have to apologize and say we didn't because a lot of fictives fronting at the time didn't have very strong source memories and also the things they were asking us about weren't even canon things that happened in the source, they were just little things they remembered.
Even if the things they spoke about were canon, or you had strong source memories, that's still really weird.
There is nothing wrong with a little codependency when it is mutually beneficial, as long as the end goal is a healthy relationship. Sometimes it is even necessary for survival. In this case, the end absolutely justifies the means.
Once two people feel truly secure in their relationship, whatever its nature, recovery will follow.
