Ok, so I purchased the 6th Blanc birthday story in the JP server, and because apparently we aren't getting his route I would like to share a little bit of information about Blanc's past that is revealed:
⚠️ SPOILERS FOR BLANC'S 6TH BDAY HISTORY BELOW ⚠️
(idk how to put the read more thingy here in the app sorry if it looks weird)
We already knew that Blanc used to have magic right?
Well, in the birthday story, Blanc tells MC that he was born with magic, and that he was kidnapped to be used as a test subject by the magic tower because of it. He resisted and ran away. After this he started to hate his own powers and tried to get rid of them, he successfully sealed them but something went wrong.
And that's were Blanc's time "stopped" for him. He tells MC that it's already been 100 years since that happened (We finally have a cannon age for Blanc! Although I used to think that he was older than 100 but whatever, he is one hundred twenty-something years old I suppose) and that he doesn't understand how that came to be.
“I thought this was my punishment for completely denying the ‘gifts’ I was born with.”
"No matter how much you don't like yourself, you can't escape from yourself"
"But I tried to take it easy by cutting off a part of me. And then that part of me took revenge."
He then starts to talk about how you cannot escape from yourself (🥲), from the talents you were born with and that he tried to take the easy way out, and that's why he was 'punished'. Tells MC to not be sad, because he wasn't alone, he had and continues to have wonderful friends, the only difference is that he had to say goodbye more than the average person.(😭😭😭)
And what comes next completely breaks my heart:
MC: "There.... must have been someone important to you among them, right?"
Blanc:Well... That might have been the case. But...
Blanc: It's been so long ago, that I've forgotten their faces and voices...
In the ending, Mc promises to help Blanc "move" his time again, we don't get answers as to why Blanc traveled to London in the first place nor anything else.
I will end it here or else I'll end up summarizing the entire bday story ... But if someone is doubting if purchasing it or not, go for it, it's the nearest we'll get to Blanc's route, and it has its fluffy moments too, not a kiss, but it's fine..For moments I forgot that I was reading his bday and thought that it was his route, I think it was on purpose, maybe a scrapped scene from his route? Something to give us closure?Who knows..I really want to translate it and post it here but idk, maybe not out of respect for cybird and also English is not my first language so there might be things that could be translated better and my japanese understanding.. Is even worse haha, but we'll see, maybe I could post a more detailed summary or something else if someone is interested!

Any Edgar fan should consider themselves lucky to share a favourite with @pondlilies00 <3 We shall not talk for long, the art will more than speak for itself once you see it.
Watch out for the release of First Time Ikemen Fan Zine! Coming to you this February!
Hi again. I have an opinion on something from Ikemen Revolution... Maybe even a hot take!
Blanc was never going to get a route regardless of if the game shut down or not.
Now, dont get me wrong, I wanted a Blanc route SO bad. But I dont think it would've ever gotten released. I genuinely think that they would've simply added more characters instead of Blanc's route.
Why do I think this?
Because Blanc's mystery was essentially wiped out. You can infer most of his story from the other characters hints/lore drops about him. His own preview hints at it.
I think the writers knew he wasnt getting a route for whatever reason so they chose to "feed" the fans the hints/lore so that his story would still be completed.
What I think his route would've been:
I think it would've been similiar to Harr or Loki's routes. I would say it could be similiar to Oliver's, but im going to be honest and say i refuse to reread his route (the entire kid thing creeps me the fuck out) and I havent read it since it intially came out. Either way what I mean by this is, for whatever reason Alice lands herself in Blanc's house. I like to think shes moved there discreetly to avoid both the Red Army and Magic Tower at around chapter 7-10. (Of course she'd have previous meetings with him beforehand through the earlier chapters.)
While there she falls in love with Blanc, and he would fall the same, but eventually the climax of his route has to happen. I think it would be the Magic Tower finding Alice, and when he'd try to protect her, lets just say he tries to fight off the disciples while her and Oliver run, all three get caught. After all, they all have ties to the Magic Tower.
Alices tie is obvious to anyone who's played the game.
Oliver is because of his curse.
Blanc's is because of the "spell" casted on him, as mentioned in his preview.
But what that spell is has alreadly been seen through multiple routes. Its obvious that Blanc has a spell of immortality casted on him, but even more "wicked" is the fact that its implied he's been switching identities the entire time.
He's always been the record keeper, he knows a lot about Cradles past and can recount certain events clearly, but what makes me think he's changing identities is simple:
During the end of Edgar's route, Blanc and Edgar are talking about the trial against the Jack of Hearts 100 years ago. Blanc says he wishes Edgar well and is happy that the contract is over between the Jack of Hearts and the Queen and King. Says he always disproved of it or something along those lines. Edgar in response says something along the lines of "Why, you almost speak as though you were there to see it."
Blanc also seems to be scared of Edgar at the start of Edgar's route when Alice runs into the forest with him. This could simply be because of how Edgar acts, but I feel its probably just another hint to Blanc knowing about the Jack of hearts contract and understanding how dangerous the Jack's are. He was there at the trial. But no one knows he was for some reason even though it was a closed trial which no one else knew about besides the upper three of the red army, and presumably the record keeper.
I think they were direct hints to Blanc's immortality, but wouldnt everyone know the record keeper had stayed the same for the past 100+ years? Why wouldn't they know?
The simple answer is that Blanc had been changing his identity the entire time. Chances are pretending to be the son of the previous record keeper (aka himself).
I also think its implied that Blanc is slowly starting to lose his mind. It wouldnt be a drastic part of his route in my opinion, but Blanc's short-term memory loss seems to hint to some sort of psychological disorder developing due to his age.
I think his route would've ended with his spell being broken and Alice and Blanc living out their lives together. Chances are Olivers wouldve also been broken.
All in all, I dont think his route was ever planned to release and thats the reason all of these hints were scattered around. The only real unanswered question is who put the spell on Blanc, but in my opinion it couldve been either the Magic Tower, or Levie. I think it wouldve been a cool plotline to have Blanc directly connected to Levie, first because it would've confirmed how old Blanc actually is, but also because it gives Levie's character more grounding in the story. Plus, Blanc seems to know a lot about Levie regardless, so it'd make sense.

(With Black Army outfit designs analyze coming at some point)
Hi. Welcome to a my retrospective on the Red Army outfit designs from the game Ikemen Revolution. This had some spoilers for all of their routes, though I doubt anyone will see this.
Im actually gonna go in a weird order, but have funsies reading this
Zero
His outfit is simple, and compared to the other Red Army outfits (with the obvious expection of Kyle) is sort of messy. On top of this he also has many personal identifications on him. Unlike the Black Army, where there tends to be more personal touches on uniforms, the Red Army tends to be much of the same pattern. Choker like collar with roses and stems off of the rose then wrapping around the collar, sword on side (excluding Kyle, I wont count Jonah as excluded since dialogue hints at him still carrying a sword even though he doesnt have it on his art... for whatever reason?),
Either way, he has four markers on him that makes his outfit stand out,
A. Braclet
B. Tattoo
C. Yellow hair strand
D. "Civillian" clothes. (As id put it)
Braclet is asymmetrical. Tattoo is from his past as well as the hair strand. Civillian clothes (t-shirt under the button-up).All in all, ill get into this more detailed later, but Zero is on a borderline. A borderline between being a civillian and being officially a part of the red army.
Kyle Ash
Kyle ash is messy and disshelved and also has a couple personal items (stethoscope and pen which are unique to him, red army wise at least). But honestly, besides that he doesnt have much I want to talk about right now.
Jonah Clemence
Jonah has a lot more uniqueness to his design than I'd expect. The little cape (or whatever you want to call it), the sash. Honestly, I think that the cape and sash almost just serve to make him look bigger and taller than he is. The cape would give his shoulders a broader look and the sash would serve to elongate his legs making him seem taller. This connects to his history of getting bullied for his weak appearance.
Lancelot Kingsley
LANCELOT!!!! Woot woot. Or smth. Anyway. I honestly dont have much to say about his design, i thought id have more.
I dont like the lil leg part off his main coat. Its extremely awkward to look at and I pretend like it doesnt exist. It bothers me greatly.
Besides that, red cape helps hide his one arm (ifykyk), but I also think it is probably a piece of the King's uniform that would be passed down through the generations.
The sash i think serves to make him look accomplished than anything, as such sashes are commonly given to the winners of certain contests.
I do like his pose however. One hand over the sash, one hidden/obscured. It kind’ve gives the look like someone who's awkward to be there, or believes they shouldnt. He's hiding his "accomplishment" (the sash) and even if it wasnt intentional it gives him the look of being offputted, like he doesnt truly want to be in the position he has but is dedicated to the Red Army, its values and traditions, so he continues to carry the torch regardless.
Edgar Bright
Hi! Im biased. This is my fav and this is where most of this retrospectives word count is going. To be frank, Edgar doesnt have that unique of a design. Its the actual epitome of red army, it has no personal items on it, no real differences from any of the others, and is nearly perfectly symmetrical. It doesn't stand out. But that was the point.
If you've read Edgars route, you will understand this better. If you havent, A. Read it. B. I will try to explain.
Edgar isnt allowed to have personal items, or really any life at all outside of the red army. His outfit reflects this. His only solace, only personal touch is the gloves, that is the only unique piece of clothing he has. But honestly? I dont count that as unique at all. They're paperwhite and are never stated to have anything unique about them. They're gloves. They hold no sentimental value, they simply serve as a means for Edgar to, in a sense, "protect" himself and more potently, others. He doesn't wish to dirty them with his filth, the blood on his hands.
Here is what ive been wanting to talk about this entire time, the collars of the Red Army uniforms. Theyre simple in design but I think the most important part about them is how theyre presented. Edgar, Jonah, and Lancelot have them fully closed, Kyle and Zero do not.
I believe the reason behind Zero's is because as I said, he is still on a borderline. Trying to decide whether to fully commit to the Red Army, its traditions and values, or to have his own values and ideals. His is still open, but its upright and close to closing, it is on a middle ground.
Kyles is open wide while tilted slightly up. He is realistically the only person in the red army who is truly free. Kyle wouldnt be afraid to leave the Red Army, he respects its traditions but doesnt always adhere to them. He doesnt always follow the social hierachy or listen to his superiors. His collar is open because he is. Kyle could do what he wants in life and still be happy with his decisions regardless because he is not tied down to the Red Armys traditions and values.
Edgar, Jonah, and Lancelot at different from the other two. All of their collars are closed.
Jonah and Lancelot's collars are completely closed. Theyre tied down to the Red Armys traditions and ideals. They're tied down to their families and their expectations.
Edgars collar deserves more attention. Its the only one which is completely symetrical. (Jonah and Lancelots collars roses are different on either side, though hard to notice). Edgar's roses are directly mirrored from eachother. Edgar is also the only collar that has something hanging off of it, which I like to call the dog tag. Off of that tag is chain-like things. I think the entire point of Edgar's collar is to mimic a dogs. Which, if you've played his route, makes perfect sense. He is the Red Armys dog and his design reflects as such. He has no personal items. He is completely tied down to the red army, his family, their values and traditions. The gloves shows he can break some of them, but that he has no real control to ever get completely free.
Anyway lmk if any part of this fandom is still alive, bye bye 🥰

do any insane ikerev fans have a bunch of random ss's of random places in-game? Like any streets or places thats rarer to see? Im trying to build ikerev in minecraft and I want some more reference points. Ty.
(examples would be like ss's from the one event where you got to go into some of the guys actual houses, the canis majoris, and other places you just dont regularly see.)
Lancelot Kingsley builds the black territory in Minecraft BRICK. BY. BRICK.
(while i personally made every building in the ss, and by proxy, the entire world, since theres more than just whats in that ss, I DID NOT make the skin. you can find it here; https://www.minecraftskins.com/skin/15788840/lancelot-kingsley/ and theres more ikemen series skins on the website if you look!)
Someone just went through like, a shit ton of my old posts from when I was significantly younger (like 2 or 3 years ago) and I genuinely just had one of those Anime flashback montages of trauma from looking at some of the posts they liked and reposted
Nevermind actually I looked at a few more posts they liked, and they have taste, respect and admiration pouring out from my soul right now. Ty random person who I sha'll not name

I've been wondering what started the war in the ikerev universe but honestly the answer is so simple.
Now I've only played Sirius, Ray, Seth and half way Fenrir but as far as I've noticed it looks like it started out of inequality and classism.
There's clearly a difference in the income of each army. A difference system in each army. Different ideals.
I bet all my money that Cradle was ruled by a king and then people from low status just decided to start to rebel so the king and nobles made the red army and peasants and poverty the black army.
I actually don't know how old this post is or if it is even relevant anymore, but I just logged onto Tumblr for the first time in a few months and saw this under the Ikemen Revolution tag so here I am.
While yes there is classism subtext, and I will most definitely not argue about whether or not it's prevelant in the stories (because it 100% is) as someone who's read every route, chances are is that it isn't that simple. In a few routes you'll go to a an abandoned building in the forbidden forest. (Namely Sirius's, Jonah's, and Harr's routes if i remember correctly). This building was very obviously an army Barracks, but the kicker is the fact that it held both Armies.
(for reference)
Chances are that whatever split the Army was an army dispute, not a civil one like an uprising or a revolt.
My best guess would be that there was always two sides to cradle, so that you'd still have the red and black sides respectively. Chances are what broke them apart was a dispute in the Armies themselves. Think like a king betraying the other.
Some likely chances (imo) are:
* The kings had some sort of fight or one killed the other. Some struggle for power.
* One king (most likely red) felt that the other king was not providing enough to the army. This goes alongside the classist subtext and would make the most sense. Most likely split over this dispute due to a power imbalance beginning in the armies.
* Something happened inside of one army itself, something similar to Lancelots father being killed, maybe? Essentially blaming one side for something the other had to proof to back up.
sincerely, someone who's played this game too long and has become an unhealthy obsession
(with proof!)
Wish they had talked abt this subject more though lmao
Personally, if i was writing the history of Cradle, I'd most likely just go with that they acted as one force, but were still separate entities at their core with different values and ideals. This could also help push along the assumption of the two splitting up officially due to power imbalance or one side getting the "shorter stick." If they acted as one force, but still remained seperate Armies it'd also be a good reference to a deck of cards. In certain games the colour of the cards you pull don't matter; however in a select few the colours of the cards do. Causing a rift between the two colours and separating them.
It also just creates a parallel with the future of Cradle in the routes. The future of cradle will most likely wind up with the two Armies being allianced again and fighting as one force, but still remaining seperate entities with their own terrorities and citizens as well as laws for their respective lands.
Either way I couldn't imagine that I would ever make it to where one of the Armies didn't exist, since that'd defeat the purpose of the deck of cards reference.
As to why the Armies existed as seperate entities in the first place, chances are it's like you said. Someone may have been threatening the country, the two Armies developed to deal with the threat but couldn't agree on ideals or delegate tasks, so they simply allianced and lived as one but operated as two.
Like I kindve hinted at at the end of my last post, they never actually talk about the history of the abandoned castle. I think Lancelot or Sirius may mention it once, something about how the Armies were once merged (like i was talking about) but unless Dalim's route or one of two looking glass routes I haven't seen yet talks about it more the developers never deep dived into it. We got literal scraps about cradles past mixed into about 5-ish different routes, and my theories are just smashing the bits together. Chances are that if we ever got a Blanc route, the history behind the abandoned castle would've been explained there. Alas, that never happened, so there's no way to know.
glad to answer anymore questions though because I haven't gotten to talk about this game in years to anyone and this is fun
I didn't think about the cards lol, I honestly have no idea how to play cards but anyway it makes sense it means something to the story.
I really wish they could have added more about the past.
Thank you for correcting me.
I still wanna stick to my theory of some kind of revolution happening on the Cradle however I also need to think of all the points you made. I hope I can rewrite my theory soon.
Oh yeah there's a massive chance of some sort of uprising. In fact I think in one route there's even a remark about it (I forgot which one though, probably a red army route or a citizen route.) To my memory it was basically "When one group of people are in power there's bound to be people who resist/revolt against it". So if I remembered correctly the story does have remarks about the fact that there were revolts and that they still happen. I just personally don't think that a revolution was what broke the army apart, as it's what brought them together in the end.
But yeah no, there's 100% revolts against the red army specifically. It's also hinted at that the red army is generally liked less than the Black by the citizens of the red territory. Most likely due to how the red army throws them out for medium infractions. So yeah no, there's 100% tension between the Red army and the citizens!
(Plus there's also the fact we know the citizens of the Red Territory aren't big fans of Lancelot, which can be easily surmised by both his nickname and the fact the citizens don't seem to want to get close to him. The only time we saw him interacting with citizens in the routes was either met with hatred or fear, or in his route specifically when that woman came onto him, greed of wanting a part of his position.)
Personally really like the fact that the red army is both hated and idolized by the red citizens lmao
If i were a citizen of the Red Army i would LOATHE them. (And probably get kicked out due to sleeping in past my alarm...) but as a reader I ADORE them so. 😭
Instead of doing my severely behind work, i decided to spend 3 hours drawing Edgar. I actually haven't drawn him in like, 6 years? But in my defense I dont draw Fanart like, ever. Want proof of it having taken 6 years to redraw him?
drawing of edgar is scuffed but its better than whats below this sentence
dont ask me what it says. i dont know. all i know was that it was supposed to be Mitsuhide and Edgar, but like, if Mitsuhide somehow fell into Wonderland instead of Alice. i was very creative.
below the line is just my appearance headcanons for Edgar because im bored
I always imagined Edgar would have a baby face. Like a face grandma's would LOVE and something Claudius would despise. I think Edgar would have a similar hatred for it, but just because of Claudius's projecting.
I also very similarly think he'd look like his mother. I always head canoned her as a red-head with like, REALLY bright cheeks. Because of this I just put a red overlay on his hair, so its still brown but borderline red. As for the cheeks thats why I made his blood flow SO visible. Its another thing I think Claudius would hate and something Edgar had to try to control. I just like to think his body goes directly against his intentions. Like, oh yeah. trickster smirk? good going bud, you currently look like a fucking tomato
btw the red brightness goes for the rest of his body too. Like, fingertips, elbows, neck, shoulders, knees, everywhere with high blood flow is RED.
as for his army outfit, i just always imagined his collar to be like a choker. not like, in a cutesy way. in a chain way, he's tied down to his families traditions and expectations and cant break free.
So, I was looking at the map of Cradle and there is only one cemetery anywhere on the map, with the vagueness of “where cradle residents rest,” which makes me wonder. Is it that the red army knows and buries their people and soldiers in black army territory? Or is there another cemetery for the red territory and for the civilians in the central area that just aren’t seen? I’m kinda partial to the hilarious thought that the red army has to ask permission to go through the black bridge to bury a person.
Actually going to further cement this; during Kyle's route him and the MC go to the cemetery to visit his brothers grave. During which Ray shows up to also mourn Kyle's brother. I wont say why in case someone reading this hasn't seen Kyle's route, but its kindve implied that they're at the Black Armies cemetery. To further add onto this, I'm fairly certain you go there in one of Ray's routes as well, and its for the same reason.
Realistically the reason behind why the only cemetery is because its probably from before the armies split, (so like over 500 years ago, it has to be a massive ass grave site), but god is it hilarious to realize that the Red Army and citizens have to walk ACROSS cradle simply to bury or see a loved ones each time. Also, how many previously red army soldiers are kicking in their graves right now because of it?
Im bored and want to write crackship fics. If you have any ideas for different pairings, send me an ask. Specifically for Ikerev but I could also do most Ikesen and Ikevamp characters
I only write about ships though. The ships can be genderbent to be lesbian or one can be genderbent to be a straight ship I don't mind, but I won't write reader x character lmao

Can we talk of my favorite birthday cards set from IkeRev (that was sadly not brought to the EN server because it was released right before it was discontinued 😭)
This. (I do have them all individually saved but for the purpose of keeping it short, I will share like that lol). Also extended analysis under the cut
They are all in pairings (or trios) - except for Loki, I couldn't really fit him in any group.
We have Lancelot, Harr and Sirius, each holding playing cards (Lance has the Red Army cards, Sirius has a King of Hearts, Queen of Spades and Joker card and Harr is holding only the Joker card).
Mousse, Blanc and Jonah are holding a tea party (Jonah has the teacup, Mousse is holding the kettle and Blanc brought macarons - I think)
Edgar, Zero, Luka and Seth... I don't know exactly, but I assume they are representing the Queen's soldiers (the ones that painted the roses in the movies?). I am not too sure but they have some kind of "parade" vibes going on for me.
Kyle and Oliver have chess pieces (which I think supposedly references the Looking Glass?)
(do not come for me for that, I haven't read the original books and I forgot everything about the movies even though I watched them)
Ray and Fenrir don't have much going on, they just are both holding the "Eat me" and "drink me" cake and potion bottle
Dean and Dalim just... Seem to have a black and white theme going on, but honestly that's all I gathered of their outfits? I think somewhere in it there is a reference to Tweedledee and Tweedledum but I couldn't find it
And then there is Loki, with a book... I wonder if Loki is a representation of Alice here? Or of someone opening the book to read Alice in Wonderland? I don't know. But if anyone knows, or has any better ideas, I am open to anything
I actually was only going to respond to this with witty comment about how I wished they gave Edgar muscles similar to how a gymnast or a acrobatics performer may have them to signify that while he was technically strong he was a lot faster, flexible, and slippery than strong instead of just making him a twink and having him have the same exact body as like every other guy in that game but instead I'll say this
I think most of these cards are directly based off of the Disney movies with some random thrown in, lmao. The reason why Edgar, Zero and Kyle don't hold cards is because they technically don't exist in the story. There is a Jack of Hearts but to my knowledge he's more like a reference to the Joker card rather than an actual Jack. I think the same thing goes for the other 3 lower ranks on the Black Army as well.
But then again, the Queen and King cards don't actually exist in either of the Armies in the story. They're all replaced by actual people. While there is a King of Hearts in most renditions of the story most of the time he's short, pudgy, and often well. Incompetent. Lmao. He's often manipulated by the Queen of Hearts and typically doesn't act on his own. This is also a knock on Chess, as toward the end of the game oftenly the Queen is the most used piece in order to protect the King, as when left alone the King cannot win on his own. The Queen of Spades in the story (or the closest you can get) is the Queen of Hearts sister.
Either way, I think the way they designed the King and Queens in those arts are just a reference back to the game itself rather than back to Disney, since the cards don't focus in on the Queens rather than the Kings.
As for the central residents;
Harr, just meant to be mysterious, ig. Kindve fits the Joker.
Loki: (is this even his actual name i genuinely haven't read his route in like 4 years and I'm severely sleep deprived from writing a 5k angst fic in the span of 4 hours at 2 am) but either way the Cheshire Cat acts like a guide of sorts to Alice in the story, so the book could be a reference to that. Not sure.
Blanc and Oliver both are just a knock at their characters, since in the movie the first interaction with them is at a tea table with dessert. Hence why Blanc is holding sweets and why Oliver looks slightly insane.
Mousse does have a direct counterpart in the story but I can't see the image enough to actually tell what's happening lmao
Dean and dalims outfits look similar so .. like tweedle de twiddle dum reference i guess.
I'm so sorry I'm so sleepy deprived I genuinely forgot what your post even said atp so I may have repeated some things

Either way, I think the way they designed the King and Queens in those arts are just a reference back to the game itself rather than back to Disney, since the cards don't focus in on the Queens rather than the Kings.
As for the central residents;
