H.O.P.E. is a United States Government Organization that was created after the earthquake in October 2016. Their main goal is to find the cure to eradicate the virus and get the US back to normal. They have employed scientists in various locations to collect samples, conduct experiments, and most importantly find a cure. They are not well known, and like to remain unknown due to some of the unethical extremes those employed by them have taken.Â
HOW DOES THIS IMPACT SCOTTSDALE?
Those alive have no idea of the H.O.P.E. organization. However, there are one or two members of the organization living amongst the groups. They heard the rumors about the results produced by Logan and are investigating to see if it is true.

      We have had some concerns expressed to us, and we feel that this is an issue that we can understand. Though we do not inhibit how you play your character(s), we are going to ask that you do your research if your character has certain traits/illnesses/etc that are part of your character. Do not just add things to your character due to certain stereotypes. For example, if you have a character have a mental or physical illness please make sure that you play them accordingly. Do not give them a mental/physical issue simply to make them seem interesting or devious. Though we understand that this is a roleplay and not the real world, we aim to have a roleplay that is parallel to the real world (with a few fantasy elements).Â
     This means that characters can die, characters can attack, you can start your own mini groups, and that any mental/physical issues should be parallel to the real world. We would also like to ask that again, there be some variety when it comes to playing characters with these items. Not all persons labeled with psychosocial disabilities are going to be criminals/creepy. This is due to there being other variables that cause someone to be a criminal/creepy/etc. We may have people who have mental issues within our roleplay or have people who are close to us who do. The media often portrays people who have certain illnesses as it being something negative, and we ask that everyone please do their research. You can google info about whatever impacts your character, and there are tons of writing guides to help play characters more realistically. We are going to put together a masterlist to help everyone (including ourselves) write better characters.Â
     We hope that this doesnât stress anyone out, or make them feel like they did anything wrong. No one has, we are simply trying to be proactive and create a free, creative, and loving environment. Though we are an appless roleplay, we want this family to be in love with their characters and play them as well as they can. We are not talking about activity, but the effort we put into our characters. We would like to hear your thoughts. If you feel this is too restrictive, let us know. Again, we are not restricting characters having any illnesses/issues, but just asking that you play them realistically and to stray from the stereotypes. they arenât a group of friends or a tight community or even thieves bound by self-interest. theyâre victims of circumstance; strangers with a similar destination / goal: to live. there isnât a lot of trust in this group but thereâs even less trust for those outside of it. theyâre majorly isolationists, and when there is trading to do they prefer to do it under the guise of being lone wolves. sometimes theyâll use this to their advantageâ some will play the part of the desperate wanderer and take advantage of the more giving groups.

YEP! They are indeed! HOWEVER, if you are going, âWHOA! Interesting question! I know that if you look around the internet, you can find a variety of different answers, but here is what is going to be canon to this rp. Iâll put it under the read more due to heavy poop talk.
Do Zombies Walkers Poop? Yes, and no. It depends on the status of the undead. Our undead were created due to the CRG Virus that causes people to be aggressive, hunger for human flesh, and lose their humanity. So basically their brain is corrupted, and they are no longer able to touch that part of them that was human (so no you canât revert a walker back to a human *hint to future items*). If the undead has their intestines intact, yes they defecate. However, they donât squat in a hole or worry about wiping. No, it just falls out of them. The food that the undead ingest do help the undead be slightly stronger than those who do not have intestines due to the bodyâs natural functions. Because their body is already dead, they donât really need nutrients to survive. It just gives them a tiny boost. However, if a biter is missing their stomach/intestinal track, then no. As whatever they ingest would simply fall out.Â
After the time skip we are going to have NPC Observers that relay information to the groups via the files blog. So all this will be revealed in character!
So if your character is traveling alone, how do they interact with other groups?
If your character is alone, you can interact by posting a starter that is for everyone or answering a starter that is for everyone. You can always visit the community and roamers freely as they allow visitors. However, you must plot with the survivor and thieves members as they do not let people in. Your character can trade, seek help, eat, etc if you have something to offer the groups. Even though some groups are closed off if someone from the group can personally decide to help you. However, we ask that the groups do not go overboard and help everyone.Â
