I think that ralph and Jack are soulmates, but not in the like cute romantic way. Imo it's more like their souls are forever tied together. When Ralph says that Jack will never leave him alone, I believe that didn't just mean on the island. Jack will forever be with ralph. He will always be in the back of his mind. His words, his actions, the thought of jack himself, the effect thst he has forever left on ralph. The fear of both jack and humankind because ralph has seen what could happen.
