Most of my videos on my TheCuriousLinguist YouTube channel are speeches to practise interpreting. I uploaded them to speechpool.net (a repository of practice speeches) and I'm so happy so see that my videos are actually being used for practice. My speech on the Legionnaires' disease (caused by Legionella bacteria; can be found in disused pipes and water; causes pneumonia) has been watched a total of 6.2 hours via #speechpool (I was able to check this thanks to YT's analytics tool). That's ~6 hours worth of interpreting practice 🥰 Another well-used practice speech (they are around 8-10 minutes long) is called "How an engine works".
