I finished my Banana Split Pillow!!! Y'all probably know by now how amazing @twinkiechan 's patterns are. This has been a work in progress for a few years, but I was finally able to finish it. I recently finished making this Star Amish Puzzle Ball for a clever friend. It's made up of 24 cones, slip stitched into rings that can be put together into a ball, or taken apart. The more you stuff them, the tougher it is to muscle them together. You can find the free pattern here:

I recently finished this In Love With Color Throw. It uses 1 ball each of 11 colors, so I used a bunch of mostly-full balls from my stash. Even though you're making multiple of each motif, it kept my attention because I'd want to see each new color added, sometimes in surprising combinations. A relatively simple free jellyfish amigurumi crochet pattern as part of my Sea Life Mobile project. These jellies are designed to look like baby moon jellyfish and are made with minimal seams.
Here’s a fun stash-busting project, these tiny crocheted jellyfish! The designer, Suvi, used them as part of a mobile for her baby, but I can imagine these doing well at craft fairs (maybe as a keychain?) or in someone’s Easter basket. One jellyfish can be made in less than an hour, so you can make a whole swarm of them!
We are already in end of May! Here in Chicago finally has the weather that we can call it spring. People go to pools and beaches, then take shower after that. Some people might take a bath more than once a day because of the hot weather and get sweaty. Ever since the Caron x Pantone Bamboo came out, I’ve seen the old version of Caron x Pantone yarn on clearance in my local Michael’s. I picked up a few braids, and was curious to see if one skein would be enough to make an adult-sized hat. Luckily Ashley from The Loopy Lamb had a free pattern for the Arctic Gem Beanie, using one skein of this yarn.
This is my rendition, in the colorway “Strawberry Chill”. I’m assuming the Bamboo version of the yarn would work with this pattern too. There was lots of trial and error as I worked this pattern, as I was working between two goals: to make a hat that would be large enough for me to wear, and to not run out of a color in the middle of a row. I ended up going down a hook size, to a 5.5mm, which produced a hat that I *can* wear, but is a bit tight. That said, I love this pattern and may make another, using different yarn. It was so fun to work up!

I’ve been wanting to transition into some spring projects, which can be hard to find because crochet tends to be mostly popular during the winter. But, I’ve found some nice doily patterns that can be used to decorate the house in the spring, made in variegated and pastel colors.
Sophia Yoon has designed this beautiful Sunny Doily pattern, which I think will be doable even for semi-beginners. The pattern comes with both a chart and written instructions, which can be a great way to get familiar with reading a chart.
