there’s just something about kareem and kamala in ms marvel…
like, bruno and kamran are both more obvious love interests (with bruno pining after kamala and her maybe?? feeling the same way and kamala pining after kamran and him probably?? feeling the same way even though his mom put him up to getting to know her and their almost-kiss came right after he found out his mom was dead and while he was being actively chased by the government) and they both attempt to pursue a romance with her more explicitly (again, the “date” and the almost-kiss with kamran, bruno trying to ask kamala to dance)
but kareem comes into the show as kamala’s total equal. there are no lopsided feelings, they have good chemistry but nothing too dramatic romance-wise. he keeps her on her toes and vice versa…AND he’s nice enough to invite her, a girl he just met that that day, to come hang out with him and his friends. everything is mostly platonic but there’s a pretty obvious vibe, especially during the bonfire scene. slow and steady wins the race, that’s all I can say
