SHERLOCK  TURNED  BACK  ON  HIS  HEEL,   facing  her.  His  eyes  scanned  her,   breath  heavy  in  his  chest.   Hitmen  looking  for  her  just  a  few  corners  down,  and  Sherlock  wasn’t  sure  how  much  longer  they  could  be  evaded.  His  pupils  were  dilated  from  stress adrenaline,  his  hand  gripping  her  wrist  tightly.    ❛  Quiet.  ❜      His  voice  was  a  raspy  whisper,  and  he  pulled  her  in  against  his  body,  seeming  to   wrap  his  coat  around  her  as  he  tried  to  tuck  them  as  close  into  the  pitch - black  shadowed  wall  as  possible.  One  hand  was  wrapped  around  her  and  reaching  up  to  cover  her  mouth,  the  other  perched  in  his  coat  pocket,  fingers  wrapped  around  the  handle  of  a  gun,  queued  to  pull  it  and  fire  if  necessary.  Fortunately,  the  men  (  morons  )  passed  by  the  skip,  and  Sherlock  slowly  and  hesitantly  relaxed  his  grip  on  the  woman  once  they  were  out  of  earshot.  His  hand  moved  off  the  gun  to  press  his  index  finger  to  his  lips,  indicating  to  her  to  remain  quiet,  grabbing  her  wrist  and  turning  away  to  begin  heading  in  the  opposite  direction.  

Only  once  he  was  sure  they  were  a  sufficiently  safe  distance  away  did  he  finally  speak  and  respond  to  her  previous  statement,  voice  still  quiet  and  careful.     ❛  God  forbid.  ❜   He  started  searching  for  a  cab,  waving  down  one  that  turned  the  corner  towards  them.   Eyes  scanning  their  surroundings  constantly.    ❛  That  would  be  a  tremendously  brave  of  you,  Miss  Adler.  ❜ 

Irene should have known better, to fall into the clutches of Jim Moriarty was dangerous, too dangerous even for her liking. Irene often did get in over her head, and now with hitmen searching after she knew that her life had just gotten a whole lot harder. As he took hold of her wrist, pulling her close behind a wall in the shadows, she felt his hand cover her mouth. Her heart beat heavy against her chest, once it seemed all clear and they rushed in the opposite direction, did Irene realise that she had been holding her breath this whole time. 

“What? not wanting to leave you?” Irene questioned, feeling a slight smirk form across her rose coloured lips. “Well.. I wouldn’t have anyone to have fun with now, would I?” She teased, only to cover up the fact that she did in fact care about Sherlock, it was the whole reason that the men were after her in the first place. “They aren’t going to leave me alone you know.. He won’t stop until my body is in the river, if he has his way” Irene explained, tone of voice full of despair. Brown hues looked up toward Sherlock, giving a quick yet brave smile, she got into the taxi as it parked up beside them, at least with Sherlock she felt somewhat safer than if she were on her own.
