C, i think C+ on a good day

i realised that plus/minus is not part of the original post but ive committed to it now

anyways, i do enjoy a good enemies to lovers, i think im even one of those ppl who doesnt mind reading a milquetoast academic/work rivals to lovers, my problem tends to be impatience. i can read long fics, i just struggle with enemies to lovers slow burns because often at a certain point it can feel like its going in circles

but there have been more than a few fics that i sat down to read all the way through (there was a cursed 1.2M words one i read within like 5 days) but that really depends on the skill of the writer.

small side notes: 1) i MELT over fics where they're enemies but they have a shared history. it can be so good if done right, make me peel back the layers. but make sure its actual layers, not just we were so in love but then one of us heard something out of context (🙄) and now we want to kill each other.

oh i hate it so much F, F- if i'm allowed

i dont have many pet peeves when it comes to fics but unfortunately i graduated from wattpad where literally every fic's main conflict was either the MC or love interest hearing something completely out of context and deciding to do something stupid. im over it by now give me something new pls 😭
