Trying to create again after being on hiatus from being in a space of grief and depression is honestly.. hard. It has felt like climbing out of quicksand / mud. You see that branch that you need to pull yourself out of it, just can’t yet grasp. You see the lushness around you, imagining yourself free and mobile, fluid, and moving. But you’re still, stuck. Years have gone by, skills are rusty, it will take practice. The space has changed, algorithms, the over-saturation of creative content. How to fit in now? Where is my place now? What’s the game plan now? Anxiety, being unseen, feeling behind. All of the junk thoughts that do no good for the mind and heart. Remembering you create for yourself. Not to get caught up in the hustle of it all. Take it slow. How to clear up my mud, free myself from my mud. Stillness. Revert the focus inward. Don’t give up. Reach for the branch.
