what’s the distinction between pointed ears like what lance clair and silver have, and the regular human ear shape? also, since giovanni is silvers father, does he have the same pointed ear shape? sorry it’s a question that i’ve been wondering about
No need to apologize I’ve been waiting for someone to ask about how I draw them!
While for Clair and Lance it’s just because I like to give dragon specialists more sharp dragon like traits (sharp teeth, nails and ears), I started doing so for Silver after being influenced by a friend’s art, since she draws pointy ears a lot in her art style and we talk about family headcanons a lot ( @featherblaz ).
As for Giovanni and Ariana, I personally don’t draw them with the same trait and you definitely make a good point in saying Silver should’ve gotten it from someone in his family. Since we haven’t given the headcanon a real scientific reason yet (and I think it’s funnier this way) my answer is that Silver was just born like that and neither parent had any idea as to why or how.
