Setsuna Minamoto is the current Lady of the Northern Estate in Istoria. She is married to her husband Genbu, the Lord of the Northern Estate, and she has one daughter, Hikari. She took over as leader of her country when her father passed away shortly after her mother. Despite having air-head tendencies and being a bit of a lush, Setsuna proved herself to be a wise, capable, and compassionate leader. Diplomatic relations, especially with the Eastern country Pandaera, greatly improved and the economy flourished. Setsuna is highly regarded by her peoples, and she loves giving the people what they want; the Lady Setsuna is known for her… “comfort” with her body, and the nonchalant manner in which she shows it off. (This does not make her less capable in her peoples’ eyes; Istoria is a matriarchy and the citizens of the Fox Nation are known for their lack of modesty.)Setsuna loves her family very much, and would do anything to keep them safe and out of harm’s way. Her decision to shield her daughter from the truth of her heritage, however, will prove to be a source of much agitation and pain for not only herself, but also her family in the near future.

Hikari Minamoto is the first and only heir to the Lord and Lady of the Northern Estate, located in the northernmost country of Istoria. She was raised sheltered and spoiled, her parents wishing to keep her away from the horrors of the world as best they could. Unlike most spoiled princesses, she is compassionate to others in need; however, when things do not go her way, she can be prone to throwing temper tantrums or crying until she gets her way. Being full daemon, she has enhanced agility, strength, senses, immune system, etc., but her skills in terms of fighting or spell casting ability are minimal; this is especially jarring, since both of her parents are masters in their respective fields, but due to their desire to shelter her, she never learned anything beyond basic defensive techniques. This spoiled princess must learn to quickly grow up and mature, as a threat on her family and her people will soon be approaching; a threat that only she can destroy.

So I started this expression challenge thing, and when I finished the first one, my boyfriend made the excellent suggestion that I animate it. It’s nothing fancy, but I do need to get some more animation practice so... Here we go!
