About🖋️
BE is a BTS bang, a collaborative event for writers & artists centered around BTS.
Chapter 1 of this bang will be a traditional big bang and mini bang! For both, writers will create their stories which artists will later claim and create accompanying art piece(s) for. Final pieces created for the bang will then be posted for the community to celebrate and enjoy!
This event was created to connect our creative community, deepen our love for the craft, and share our gifts for everyone!
Rules🖋️
Must be 18+ to participate
All works must be new, original and unpublished. They cannot be a continuation of an already existing work.
Final works must be completed.
All works must be BTS centric/focused. We welcome and encourage all ships including polyamorous relationships and rare trope/themes!
Writers cannot share any part of their wip prior to artist claiming. We will also have the opportunity for writers and artists to tease their works leading up to reveals.
Artists cannot mention which writer(s) they will claim during the claiming process.
Creators should not ghost mods, and/or the artist or writer they are paired with or they risk being banned from future seasons of the bang.
Absolutely no generative AI/plagiarism is allowed for any part of the creative process (including brainstorming, drafting, sketching, etc.).
Restrictions🖋️
If you have questions about your concept/story in relation to these restrictions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
Underage sex
Pedophilia/Grooming
Reader Inserts
Things to Note🖋️
All Check-Ins are mandatory.
All fics will be posted completely on the designated posting day with the accompanying art
We do not encourage writers commissioning additional art for their pieces. Ultimately this will be between writers and their artists, but moodboards to promote your fic are fine, especially if your artist does not make moodboards.
We ask that writers leave their fic posted for at least a year after the posting day. We understand that relationships with your fic changes and you have a reason for eventually taking it down, but please make sure to also discuss with your artist before doing so. The same goes for artists with their pieces down and communicating with their writers.
Both the Big Bang & Mini Bang have two levels for creators to choose from. You have until the outline submission due date (for writers) or the artist sign up closing date to change your bang and/or level.
This is a Dead Dove Friendly event! Our only ask is that your creative works have the appropriate tags and warnings.

FAQ🖋️
FAQ #1 — What is a bang?
A bang is a collaborative event where writers and artists are paired together to craft a unique creative work. It’s meant to be an “explosion” of creative works being gifted to the community at the same time. A few common formats are big bangs, mini bangs, micro bangs and reverse bangs, all of which will be featured on this account in the coming years!
FAQ #2 — How does this work?
Participating writers are to complete a first draft of fics for the given minimum wordcounts, then create a summary/synopsis of your fic that will be posted anonymously for an artist to view, claim, then create accompanying art piece(s). Final collaboration pieces will then be posted for the community to celebrate and enjoy.
This as an opportunity to connect with the creative community and deepen your love for the craft! You can take part in this event as a writer, artist, pinch hitter (for art), or beta reader (through the BTS Beta Reader Services).

FAQ #3 — How is this different from a fest, exchange, and zine?
Fests often focus on a theme, AU, and/or sometimes a particular ship, giving creators leeway on what they craft as long as they follow the guidelines of the submitted prompt they've claimed.
Gift/exchanges focus on the person’s likes/interests, ensuring that you craft for the recipient of your work. Some are writer to writer, others are writer to artist, and others are artist to artist.
Zines do sometimes allow for collaboration between writers and artists if they choose. Writers and artists usually submit pieces to fit the zine theme. The zines (and merch) are then either paid products, for charity, and/or free for the fandom.
A bang is an intentional collaborative effort (sometimes called a team fandom challenge) between writers and artists, and traditionally are long-term efforts to give creators ample time to create.
This first round will be a big bang and mini bang, and writers will start the process by creating pieces based on their own ideas. Artists will then claim a writer’s fic to create art based on the fic itself. This event is meant to connect the creative community in all parts of the creative process!

FAQ #4 — What am I required to do and/or have to participate?
All creators are required to join the discord server as it will be our primary network for communicating important information, contacting, and pairing our participants. It’s also meant to be a fun and safe space for creators to connect!
All writers must have an AO3 account for posting, and artists must be present on at least one of our social media platforms for posting.
Any other platforms like Bluesky, Tumblr, Dreamwidth, and Twitter (X) are for you to join as you are comfortable, but please note that we will be posting all works on all platforms.
