So it's my Mother's birthday on Sunday

I jokingly told her that I was going to get her socks and toblerone, but of course not actually going to her that. I then changed my mind and bought socks, toblerone and a Disney colouring book. What a good son. (I also got her a DVD too... Just to be safe.)

I was walking around my local supermarket and saw this with the cheese. I tried to tell my mate but forgot what it was called and came up with: That spherical thing that's like a ball which you hit with your foot... A football ball! I was simply looking for football. So I’m choosing to feel good about this for the moment and think about how far we have come as a society. And I’m choosing to give kudos to the WWE for coming out in support, knowing full well that there will be certain portions of their audience who will object. It’s the right thing to do and it’s the kind of choice that helps wrestling from ending up marginalized as the culture progresses. And it’s smart business. They will get a lot of good publicity from this going into a pay-per-view weekend.

And I reserve the right to take it all back when they turn this into a tasteless and poorly thought out angle and handle it so atrociously that I will once again have to be ashamed of my love for wrestling.

Because I know how this business works. And it’s usually not pretty.
