A misguided ghost

And the absolute serotonin I got reading this 😭😭😭

(DISCLAIMER: this post didn’t come out quite the way I wanted/planned, and frankly revolves around a lot of my own interpretations of the series, so YMMV.)

I am writing this post because I love Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but more specifically, I dearly love the character of Madoka herself. And I have seen very little people giving her a lot of specific appreciation. It’s not that people seem to hate her or anything, but people seem to be drawn to other characters more. In a way, I get that. Kyoko is my very favorite character because I just love her when she’s onscreen, she mixes things up a lot.

But Madoka is right up there with her in regards to character that I just love. And I think so much of why I personally love the series as a whole comes from the fact that this is our protagonist. I have watched many anime, and many shoujo anime in my life, and while there are many characters I can relate to, they are rarely the main character. I may like them or admire them, from Usagi Tsukino to Sakura Kinomoto, from Ahiru to Utena Tenjou, but few of them have struck me deep in an emotional place that I hide from most of the world, like Madoka Kaname has.
