Do you ever upload pics directly to Twitter? I rarely do. It just isn't as much in my consciousness to share images on Twitter other than via Instagram. I don't think of Twitter as a visual platform. How about you? http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/3uDb

My walk this morning with Stephanie Stone. I did my first attempt at jogging 8 months since I tore my ACL and had surgery in June. I got permission from my PT to test my knee and it was good. My endurance on the other hand, not so good. Need to work back up to it. #PointFermin  #SanPedroCA http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/3tmI

Originally posted this in The Future of Ink community.  If you're interested in getting the book promotion strategy checklist, post in the comments (after you read the post)  :-) #bookmarketing ⟠Reshared Post From Denise Wakeman ⟠I've been talking with a lot of people lately about all the stuff that's involved with getting the word out to promote their book and how confusing it can be to know what to do. I'm curious, has this been your experience as well? It's something I've been working to simplify with my clients because I know how overwhelming it can be. Because of this universal feeling of overwhelm, I'm working on a checklist you can use to develop a personal strategy for building your author platform and creating buzz for your book. If you'd like a copy, post a comment in this thread below and I'll make sure you get it when it's done. #bookmarketing http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/3qWR

Oh, oh, oh, gotta check out this Pinterest update! Most of what I pin are articles so this is a huge new feature. Thanks Mike Allton for the info. Bookmarking it so I can check it out as soon as I have an extra minute or two. #pinteresttips ⟠Reshared Post From Mike Allton ⟠Draw Attention to Articles on Pinterest Pinterest has released "rich pin" capability for Articles, which means that articles pinned to Pinterest will include the story title, author, description and link. It's a fantastic update that can really help businesses and content marketers get a little more attention and interest for their blogs and stories. But implementing the capability isn't as easy as Pinterest's announcement might make it sound. You have to have specific Meta Tags implemented, like og:type in order for Pinterest to recognize the content and details. Check out the article below to find out more, including what tags need to be implemented and where to go to test your updated articles. Just like Twitter, once you have implemented the meta tags you'll need to have them validated in order for them to display correctly. Are you excited for the new Pinterest cards? #Pinterest  #ContentMarketing  #Blogging http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/3ksa
Are Google+ notifications getting the best of you? Great tips here by Patrick Sharpe on how to manage notifications with Gmail. h/t Jaana NystrĂśm #googleplustips âź Reshared Post From Patrick Sharpe âź Ninja-fy your Google+ notifications! Desktop Edition Whether you've been here on Google+ for awhile now or not itâs always a good thing to know what your options are, especially concerning the controllability of your notifications. The first step in this process is to go to your Google+ settings and check the appropriate notification boxes. This will help you fine tune who can actually send you notifications and where those notifications will be coming from. Google+ settings can be accessed from your Google+ profile by selecting the âcogâ icon drop down menu that sits just to the right of the âview profile as:â function. There are a fair few options to get through on this page but this is where you can assert most of your control over the âwhoâ and the âwhereâ of Google+ notification distribution. Another place to assert even more control will be in your Gmail account. At the end of the day the majority of your Google+ notifications will hit your emails main inbox and this is where Google+ can seemingly become a nightmare. By using Google+âs settings youâll have managed to cut back most of the email insanity but now youâll have to granularly (that's a word right?) decide how the rest will be delivered to you. You could just let everything pour straight into your inbox but after awhile confusion, obsession, and compulsion will start to dominate your life as that email stack rises higher and higher. So what can you do? You can create some Gmail labels and start setting up some Gmail filtering rules, that's what! So to keep this as simple as possible the hope here will be to divert your Google+ Gmail notification emails away from your primary Gmail inbox. So letâs open up Gmail and get started! Now that you have Gmail open letâs run through a quick exercise: Label creation 1. Select the âcreate a new labelâ option inside of Gmail. (Hint: it may be hiding under the âmoreâ menu.) 2. Fill out the label name field. Letâs call your new label âGoogle+â. 3. Donât worry about the ânest label underâ option unless you want to create a sub directory. Thatâs all there is to creating a new label so letâs move on and learn how to filter emails into it, shall we? Filter creation 1. Find an email notification that originated from Google+. (Hint: you should have plenty to choose from. If you canât find any in your inbox check your trash bin.) 2. Select the email by either check marking the box or by clicking into it. 3. Select the âmoreâ box located at the top right hand corner nearest to the âspyglassâ search icon. 4. Select the âfilter messages like theseâ option. 5. Fill in the appropriate boxes with the appropriate information to further refine the filtering of similar emails. You donât have to fill all of the fields in and as an example I really only fill in the âhas the wordsâ field, on the off chance that the â[email protected]â or â[email protected]â addresses may be dynamic and randomly generated. 6. Now letâs select the âCreate filter with this searchâ option located at the bottom right hand corner of the window. 7. Check mark the âSkip the Inbox (Archive it)â and then the âApply the labelâ boxes. With the âApply the labelâ option youâll want to select the right adjacent drop down menu box to choose the appropriate label to filter similar emails to. For this exercise choose the Google+ label that we created earlier. 8. At the bottom left hand corner select âcreate filterâ to finalize the filter creation process. Thatâs it! Now your future Google+ notification emails should start to divert away from your main inbox and filter into the Google+ label that you created. To be fair there are many different types of Google+ notifications that will hit your emails inbox such as user adds, community invites, event invites, tagged in photo requests, so on and so forth but you can always repeat the filter creation process for each new email to ensure that those specific emails will also be diverted in the future to your Google+ label, or any other label that you might choose. Eventually you'll get them all and your main inbox will suffer from far less social clutter. By using Google+âs options, and Gmails label and filtering options, you can really fine tune the Google+ notification distribution process so that it no longer dominates your main inbox, your life, and your sanity and in the process youâll become a Gmail Ninja yo! Waaa-Chaaa <------- Gmail Ninja stars flying at you #technology #learning #googleplus #google #gmail #filters #labels #options #ninjas http://click-to-read-mo.re/p/3kcI
