Rowan: what’s the magic word?

Aelin: or else.

Lorcan: Elide, I smell blood. Are you bleeding?

Elide: Uhh, I’m on my period.

Lorcan: Oh. *sniffs again*

Lorcan: Have you been eating enough? You’re iron-deficient.

Lorcan: *cooks dinner for Elide* *cuts up strips of linen for her monthly cycle* *makes sure she’s comfortable*

Elide: Lorcan, why are you doing all of this for me?

Lorcan: …

She took his hand, and he tried not to shudder in relief, tried not to fall to his knees as she slid the ruby ring onto his finger. It fit him perfectly, the ring no doubt forged for the king lying in this barrow. Silently, Rowan grasped her own hand and eased on the emerald ring.

“To whatever end,” he whispered.  

Silver lined her eyes. “To whatever end.”

A reminder - and a vow, more sacred than the wedding oaths they’d sworn on that ship. 

So I finished the lineart for my Rowaelin comic due to popular demand, but probably won’t get to finish colouring it for the next few days. So here is a little WIP in the meantime :) Enjoy
