Now, before watching The Room (2003), I feel cultural osmosis had mostly prepared me for how bad it was going to be. I already knew that it was a film written, directed, and starred in by Tommy Wiseau, a man who has zero business doing any of the 3, but enough Polish landlord money lying around to make his passion project a reality.

What I was not prepared for was how clear a window this movie was into Tommy Wiseau's psyche. Because, at the end of this film, it is crystal clear that Tommy Wiseau kinda hates women. Like, Tommy clearly sees himself as Johnny who is this perfect angel who everyone loves and is friends with and he's always giving his money back to the community, and his ex-fiance is just some evil manipulative bitch who wanted to hurt him for no reason and his best friend never wanted to have sex with his fiance at the time, but he was lured in by her womanly wiles, and also she was totally lying when she said that he hit her.
