More HC inspired by my rewatch of Smallville (my favorite written superman)
One of my favorite things about Clark is how hopeful and kind he is and how his background story feeds into that so often. Like he was born and raised in a very small town on a farm, it doesnt get more isolating then that and I love the way they touch on this in Smallville because Clark isn't allowed to do a lot of things growing up in fear of being caught/found out

so i think he is a huge reader.
reads everything he can get his hands on, at first its to keep busy and then as he gets older and notices his differences like his super strength etc, it become about learning how to blend in. What human limits are so he doesn't every swing too far one way.
Clarks training is not like other hero's trying to learn combat but instead how to tone his strength down.
he becomes freaky good at biology. Able to list off the limits of the human body from grip strength to how much blood they are able to lose or how much force they are able to handle.
people are always joking how he should be a paramedic or something with the amount of information he's able to recall. he just says he picked up form reading
another thing is the trope where villains learn so much or are so smart they turn evil because they become jaded but i think the more Clark learns the more he truly believes how sacred life is.
( etc "mother lifts truck off child in an act of love and strength - 'fireman saves 3 kids and a dog' and stories of the like)
and he's just AWE cause - these people don't even have the strength he does - they don't have the immunity he does and they fight and try to be good anyways.
HE ISNT A CONSERVATIVE and I am not even sorry about it. He can not fathom why or how some people should have rights then others, that some people are punished for being who they are - especially when it is of no harm to anyone else.
Remember the reading habit he has? He reads everything- he has no preference of genre and I personally have this idea he doesn't really like tv or phones for that matter because it bugs his supervision being able to clearly see every single individual pixel on the screen.
Anyways - someone that well read and that empathetic doesn't just think 'mmmm some people really don't deserve to eat if they cant afford it!'
I do think he goes through a point in time where he trusts authority a bit too easy- both because he has nothing to fear for himself and just not fully getting the government is not always on the side of their people.
i sadly don't think this ever really changes but I do think he becomes more cautious at some point
