What I love about Yoko Taro so much is that he’s really not making a big fuzz about the diversity aka ‘hermaphroditism/homosexuality/whatever’ in NieR. In fact, most of the stuff was first fully revealed by himself, AFTER the release.

And THIS is exactly what I understand under normalization. You don’t market your game/movie/show as progressive. Just slip it in, simply because…it exists like that in the real world.
