The Barbie Dreamhouse

I just love the universal experience that is Barbie. Like we all have such fond memories of playing with dolls, back when we weren’t self aware and we could easily just be consumed by our imaginations. I used to love setting up little towns with my sister. We would dump our huge box of barbies on the floor and get to work. We used our abundance of beaded necklaces to outline the perimeters of our houses because we couldn’t afford the barbie dream house (we did have the barbie plane and barbie RV which were so fucking cool). Then when we’d take a break we’d leave it all out, promising our parents we’ll put everything away when we’re truly finished. Getting excited about new packages of clothes and accessories. I remember when I’d be done with the adult story, I’d move on and play with the kids for a little bit, then go back to the teenagers. Making the barbies scissor and kiss. Ah, little girl memories <3
